Consultant - International Development & Global Distributor Management

Presently employed as an international marketing, sales and global distributor management consultant for this well-known American motorcycle seat accessory brand owned by The Roho Group. Selected responsibilities include: Recruitment, training and management of new distributors in Europe, Russia, Middle East and Asia. Direct sales to retail groups, regional distributors and OEM suppliers. Development and execution of international marketing campaigns. Participation in international B2B and B2C trade shows. Brand expansion and positioning via co-branding agreements with well-established European OEM and aftermarket distributors. EU warehouse stock management. Translations and interpreting. Selected achievements to date are:

•	Increased international sales by 100% in two selling seasons after 8 previous years of flat or declining sales.

•	Expanded international distributors from 3 to 20 in two years via market segmentation on  a geographic and sales channel basis.

•	Significantly increased market share and brand awareness by developing new co-branded products with European OEM suppliers and distributors exclusively for their large well- established distribution channels.

•	Repositioned Airhawk brand image and value perception  by targeting and recruiting distributors who exclusively offer high value / quality accessories for premium priced European touring motorcycles (ex BMW GS, Triumph Tiger, Ducati Multi Strada, KTM Adventure series).

•	Increased annual international trade show / event participation from 1 show a year to 9.

•	Responsible for EU warehouse stock management with just-in-time delivery programs.

•	Developed multilingual sales materials, advertisements, pos displays and instruction manuals.

Recruited as a full time international consultant to this $100MM (est.) privately held INC. 500 world leader in “multisensory” marketing technologies primarily serving the international offices of Fortune 500 corporations and major worldwide advertising agencies. Multisensory is defined as print based communications integrating video, audio, light, scent, taste, dimension and movement in to traditional print collateral. Key target industries were automotive, fashion, luxury, entertainment, fmcg, health &  pharmaceutical. Selected responsibilities included development and implementation of multichannel marketing & sales programs throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Researched and recruited new international distributors and agents. Direct sales presentations to Fortune 500 level CMO’s and senior marketing officers. Concept development and launching of international multisensory marketing and advertising campaigns. Supervision of US and PRC based production departments. English, Mandarin Chinese, Italian translations and interpreting as needed. Selected achievements were:

•	Established Americhip’s first market presence in Asia via conducting 100+  senior level presentations and seminars throughout Asia with leading Fortune 500 brands and top advertising agencies in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Japan.

•	Successfully negotiated Americhip’s first contracts and purchase orders in Asia by provision of multisensory technologies to Fortune 500 brands and major advertising agencies.

•	Offered (but declined) promotion to relocate to Shanghai PRC to establish and manage Americhip direct sales offices throughout Asia.

Director International Development - Europe, Middle East, Asia

Recruited to this privately held American gourmet beef producer and exporter.  Duties included selecting, training and managing independent B2B and B2C gourmet food distributors throughout Europe and the Middle East. Business development and direct sales to key up-market hospitality and restaurant groups, hotels, retailers and food service providers. Created unique “outside the box” marketing and promotional events and participated in major international trade shows and events. Supervised and expanded growth via B2C web based sales. Developed and launched new value added products. Managed all P&L and budgets. Supervised warehousing, shipping, claims and administration. Selected achievements:

•	Successfully imported, launched and managed entirely new gourmet product (wagyu beef aka Kobe beef) in to the greater EU markets with market growing from zero to €8MM+ per year.

•	Selected, trained and managed independent gourmet distributors, luxury food brokers and high end retailers in 10 countries throughout Europe.

•	Established company’s first EU sales offices and secured all applicable EU licenses and compliances for product import despite challenging EU restrictions on the import of US beef which required frequent negotiations with the USDA and EU customs and health officials.

Director - European Marketing & Saales

Founded this $1MM+ Asian high end furniture, accessory, fine art and antique import company. Duties included designing and sourcing furniture, accessories, and antique procurement via frequent buying missions throughout Asia. Supervision of Asian contractors and quality control inspectors. Management of US marketing and sales. Training sales representatives and retail outlet staff. Responsible for all P&L, budgeting and administration. Selected achievements:

•	Established four retail outlets in two years via strategic alliances with larger well established retail stores throughout southern California.

•	Reduced procurement costs and claims by 40% by switching contractors from the Philippines to China, Vietnam and Indonesia, developing internet based quality control inspections, improved export packaging.

•	Awarded exclusive California distribution rights for one of Asia's most well known furniture manufacturers (Diseno en Asia Inc.)

Managing Director

Co-founded this Hong Kong based $5MM micro brewery equipment and brewing services company. Responsibilities included lobbying local and national governments to deregulate the brewing industry (legalize micro brewing). Development of Asian marketing and sales programs. Selecting and training regional distributors. Recruitment of American and European brewers. Supervision of brewery installation and commissioning. Procurement of micro brewery equipment and brewing materials worldwide. Brand management for specialty beers brewed by the company owned Macau Brewing Company. After sales consulting. Translations (English / Mandarin Chinese). Selected achievements:

•	Co-founded Asia's first company dedicated to providing micro brewing equipment and services.

•	Established Asia's first micro brewery (South China Brewing Co. Ltd) and 12 additional micro breweries throughout Asia for both large multinational and smaller organizations.

•	Built brewing equipment and services from zero to $5MM p.a. in five years.

•	Awarded exclusive Asian distribution rights for America's largest manufacturer of micro brewing equipment (JV Northwest Inc).
