Product Developer 2

I am a fashion professional and a highly motivated creative individual. As a hard working, goal oriented, and detail focused designer, my passion is to create successful designs and quality products. 

•Development of soft goods with the design team to create successful pack/vest/belt fit,
construction, and cost on new and carryover styles from initial concept to production
•Collaborate with design and product management to develop hardgoods color, material, finish, and graphics on new, SMU, and carryover product styles of bottles, caps, and drinkware
•Leader in the trend and development research for hardgoods color, material, finish with suppliers providing new decoration techniques and finishes to apply for future seasons
•Manage hardgoods and softgoods proto development with suppliers; identify, test, and address key issues and in the proto build, cost, and CMF with internal teams to deliver the desired product
•Soft goods factory costing and negotiation and cost engineering to meet margin goals
•Lead the transition of the hardgoods product development to a new overseas supplier and worked with internal sourcing teams to set up a new soft goods product and supplier
•Manage soft trims development and soft trim supplier relationships for all new and existing trims
•Travel to suppliers in Asia and the US, for onsite proto development and trend research


•Designed new silhouettes, accessories, embroideries, embellishments, and screen prints with internal teams and factory using trend analysis and market research
•Collaborated with technical design in fit sessions to direct and finalize fit for production.
•Ran production management and lead the development team for the Girl’s sportswear department; Picked color standards, re-engineering prints for production, strike off and lab dip approvals, organizing production fabric, production fittings, and keeping to GTM deadlines 
•Executed lap dip development of color standards and development of custom prints
•Established a new line review process during company transition to Illustrator CADs and PLM.
•Helped create mood/trend boards and color stories for future season concepts
•Garment costing for each season’s styles to present to the sales department for review


Product Development Assistant

•Translated Women’s Designer's sketches using Illustrator and Photoshop into technical sketches and CAD's.
•Supported Technical Designer for garment fittings, garment construction, trim details, and garment specs.
•Created and maintained tech packs for the Tori Richard Women’s and License Product development of over 250 styles while sustaining partnerships with factories to ensure product design, product deadlines, and quality standards are achieved.
•Conducted market research and trend analysis to assist in developing themes, creating seasonal mood boards, creating and choosing color ways, creating prints, choosing fabrications, and designing styles.
•Designed styles for Tori Richard’s Women’s and License Product 2016 collections and the uniforms division.
•Collaborated with internal merchandising teams during each season’s product development cycle and maintains seasonal internal data spreadsheets and wholesale B2B e-commerce platforms for both the Women’s and License Product departm

Women's Design and License Product Merchandiser

• Aided in selecting fabrics, colorways, prints, and silhouettes for the new season styles
• Organized and prepared for the Japan 2013 Trade show line sheet and look book
• Prepared fabric for manufacturers, assisted in manufacturing and creating samples, designed up-cycled accessories, and assisted in garment fittings


Assistant Designer

•Participated in retail merchandising including set-up of window displays and retail floor sets at Rip Curl’s flagship stores. 
•Created new and product fill vendor purchase orders for retail Rip Curl stores.
•Conducted market research of competitive brand products, supported sales presentations for weekly retail sales meetings, cross referenced orders for the e-commerce department, and assisted men’s buyer in selecting product color ways for dealers.
