Store Manager

In my current role, I am responsible for overseeing the day to day operations in a fast pace and ever changing environment. I lead a team to deliver dynamic customer service while ensuring the store achieves daily and weekly sales goals. I ensure the store is fully functional and operational at all times and that all merchandise displayed meets the needs of the customer.

Duties
•	Managing monthly store budgets. 
•	Highlighting the latest trends, developing enticing promotions & designing a floor plan to display the most current fashions.    
•	Recruiting, training, evaluating and supervising staff, while building trust and integrity within my team. 
•	Coaching colleagues by example every day, on and off the shop floor. 
•	Maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry, and monitoring what local competitors are doing.  
•	Safeguarding areas of vulnerability to decrease loss and preserve profit. 

During my time with this company, I developed a team that encompassed the company’s overall culture and core values to develop an environment that was engaging and welcoming. In addition, my primary focus was to drive customer service and loyalty by developing seasonal promotions to deplete old inventory and introduce new trends; educating the team on product knowledge; and overseeing the day to day operations to ensure store goals were being achieved.  

Retail Store Manager

As Store Manager, I had a handle in both the operational and marketing aspects of the store. While managing a team, managing inventory  and balancing staff scheduling; I was also conducting many promotional/ fundraising events, cultivating relationships within the community and maintaining a visual appealing floor plan by displaying the most trendy and relevant merchandise. 

I had the unique opportunity to work in an environment that housed my fondest youth memories as a skateboarder, but also, I had the opportunity to work as the Shop and Inventory Manager. During my time, I managed all in-house operations, which included handling private skate parties, maintaining skate inventory and sales checkout, running skate camps and providing customer service. In addition to my operational responsibilities, I acted as a regular skate camp counselor and instructor.
