Apparel Developer and Production Consultant - Freelance

MULTI-FACETED DESIGN CONSULTANT WITH A KNACK FOR WEARING MANY HATS.

A passionate, creative lead, with a diverse skill set within the fashion industry. From design to merchandising to product development and marketing I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to work in various departments throughout my career, Consistently innovative, while staying up to speed with trends in the ever changing fast-paced Women’s, Men’s and Children’s markets. Responsible for best selling designs in major stores across the United States and Internationally.

As a consultant I also oversee the development and design for brand identity, packaging design, sourcing and managing the production process from beginning to end. 


Working with brand to help them branch out with overseas factories for expanding their business into new categories by providing them with my development and production knowledge and services. 
- Works with design team from early concepts stages to develop products that meet margins while maintaining design intent. 
- Negotiate all cost, minimums and lead-times with factories and vendors, responsible to meet margins and timelines. 
- Work with factories and freight forwarders on production coordination to bring items in on time based by season. 
- Responsible for ensuring fit quality, desired appearance, and company quality standards are met and maintained from development through production. 
- Coordinate and schedule delivery of production goods from overseas factories.


Utilized design and development skills to help set up a system and standard for the design, development and production departments to follow to allow the organization to adhere to deadlines with industry seasons. Execute the day-today operations between the departments.
- Created multiple apparel seasonal lines for both Men and Women’s departments across all categories from sketches through production
- Handled all daily communication with factories and print houses for apparel & accessories
- Met margin goals, negotiated costing and lead times with suppliers 
- Maintained brand fit standards and conducted all fittings with Execs  managed fits comments from development through production
- In charge of issuing and maintaining salesman samples and production PO’s for brand
- Set up and maintained the printable line plans, including SKU counts, colors, pricing, material, etc.
- Responsible for managing time and action calendar for all categories to meet all deadlines. 
- Creates and maintains all styles in Full Circle from development to production. 


Apparel Design / Developer / Production Consultant - Freelance

Designed two lines of technical riding apparel for the 2020 seasons by interpreting brand identity through designs that correlate with the brands vision of jackets, tops, bottoms along with a accessories line of gloves and shoes 
- Created detailed CADS designs for the two collections of motorcycle apparel and accessories by mixing a fashion forward point of view with the  technical gear side of the brand
- Prepared all tech packs and trim packs for each style in the line for development with vendors


Womens Technical Moto Designer - Freelance

Senior Designer for the Juniors/Kids Department’s that oversaw and managed the day-to-day agenda and the department’s designers and interns while creating cohesive collections and meet all calendars and deadlines. 
- Responsible for market research and analysis using sales, shopping, traveling to establish key styles, color and textile concepts for upcoming seasons
- Established key seasonal product stories with Design Director
- Created all design detailed CADs across all categories from rough sketches to completion of tech packs and bill of materials while managing and adhering to product development calendar
- Well versed in a wide diverse range of fabrics, trims and details
- Presented to internal and external parties at various different key points through out each season
- Managed Juniors/Kids Art Department and Special Projects dealing with both in-house and freelance graphic designers from print development through production (tech packs, press checks, managed production turnovers 
- Established and maintained collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners in in merchandising, development and marketing for successful product lines.
- Worked closely with the Design Director and the Marketing Department to create brand enhancing catalogs, as well as marketing and advertising strategies that included social and editorial media campaigns.
