Product Development Manager

A Product Developer with a passion for creating performance driven, quality product. 


- Maintain product costing through cost charts, product cost evaluations, currency exchange reviews and cost negotiations to with the goal of exceeding target margin.

- Coordinate the development of new product, resourced product, or sourced product by managing the information flow  and documentation between product Design, Engineering, Category Managers, and Manufacturing Partners.

- Partner with the Sourcing and Operations teams to develop a sourcing strategy that coincides with the long-term product strategy.

- Drive creation of product packaging and case pack configurations with multiple cross functional teams to achieve high operational efficiency and costing.

- Contribute to the refinement of the development processes and calendar.

- Assist in evaluating all development samples against the tech pack specifications for design accuracy, and functionality.

- Partner with SKLZ sourcing partners and/or QC Team to ensure product quality and Integrity surpasses SKLZ quality standa

Senior Product Developer- Hard goods

Previous- Men's Printed Board Shorts, Fleece, Knits Tops and Printable Tees, Women's Fleece.


- Work with cross functional Design and Merchandising teams to ensure design integrity is executed.

- Work closely with overseas vendors and mills to coordinate on-time delivery and provide comments for samples, lab dips and artwork submits.

- Maintain daily communication with overseas agents, mills and factories, including yearly travel.

- Partner with Technical Design team to ensure successful execution of fit requirements and construction.

- Prepare technical packages with product design details and bill of materials for use by vendors.

- Manage cost reporting and negotiation. Work with teams to ensure product adheres to margin requirements.

- Identify potential production risks and escalate to cross functional teams.

- Knowledge and understanding of proprietary fabric construciton and technologies.

Apparel Product Developer- Technical Outerwear

Design/ Product Development:

- Work directly with head designer to create seasonal collections of women's technical and lifestyle active wear, from initial product concept through final production stages.

- Interpret contemporary fashion trends for the active wear market.

- Research of technical fabrics, trims and garment construction appropriate for use in heavy physical activity.

- Preparation of technical packages with product design details and bill of materials for use by contractors.

- Source labor and materials for sampling and production in both domestic and overseas markets.

- Manage production by issuing purchase orders, negotiating costs and ensuring contractors adhere to a strict calendar.

- Support team and maintain brand image in other areas such as Marketing, Social Media, Public Relations and Sales.


Visual Marketing/ Graphics:

- Render artwork for packaging and trims for use on final products ( hangtags, care labels, etc)

- Create visual selling tools, including but not limited to; seasonal look books, internal/ external use line sheets, web banners, etc.
