Apparel Designer/Graphic Designer

I am a dedicated, detailed oriented, fashion/denim enthusiast. I am well adjusted to working in a fast-paced, forever changing environment. I am extremely proficient in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign.

•Creates & designs into denim & knit (wash & graphic) concepts per season.
•Designs within given silk & cotton concepts per season.
•Sources & meets with fabric mills to find or custom create new fabric seasonally
  working closely with Product Development Manager.
•Searches through vintage shops/warehouses & internet for new silhouette,
  color, print, graphic, trim, & wash inspiration.
•Hand sketches all styles for linesheet representation & a few looks for media/publicity use.
•Creates a few new graphics per season using both hand typography and
  computer generated typography.
•Utilizes Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for flat sketches, detail sketches,
  recoloring prints, & graphic design.
•Generates & constantly updates linesheets for LA, NY, & Paris showrooms and buyers.
•Creates & manages BOM’s for every SKU.
•Delegates styles/sketches/details to Director of Technical Design & ensures correct fit intention.
•Manages fittings & makes appropriate changes to each style to maintain fit intent.
•Ensures that tech packs & BOM’s are accurate/complete by working hand in hand with Tech &
  Production Directors.
•Maintains constant communication with global vendors (China, Turkey, & US)
  to supervise all design details from development to production.
•Utilizes best judgment to assign marketing/labels to each style.

•Designed into and created denim specific concepts per season.
•Met with fabric mills seasonally and assigns fabrics to new styles.
•Researched new silhouettes, colors, prints, trims, details, etc. per season.
•Shopped vintage & competitor brands for seasonal inspiration.
•Utilized Adobe Illustrator to create all flat sketches and detail sketches & recolor prints.
•Delegated styles/sketches to the tech team and advised on fit intention for each style.
•Attended/took notes & made corrections to styles as needed during fittings.
•Generated & updated line sheets.
•Worked with the tech team & production team to ensure tech packs
  & GSS’s were accurate & complete.
•Supervised all design details (i.e. washes/trims/fit intent) from pre-production
  to post-production to all GIS teams & vendors.
•Coordinated with the marketing team to assign hang tags and other
  packaging to each style.
