Account Manager

My deep passion for getting more people experiencing the joys of mountain biking has led me into a two different paths in the bike world. One is solely focused on advocacy work which includes trail planning and development in every step of the process of developing partnerships with land managers and community officials to designing and planning trails for all interests and ability levels. My second path has been developed in the industry space, where I've spent many years marketing, developing brand identities, finding target markets, and implementing marketing strategy. These two distinct paths have given me a very unique understanding of the mountain bike market while allowing me pursue my passion each and everyday.

Working closely with clients that include EVOC, Ergon, Ride Concepts, CushCore, and Mondraker Bikes.

Uncommon specializes in providing enterprise-grade media and public relations services to the cycling and active outdoor markets. Drawing upon significant agency experience coupled with over two decades within the cycling and outdoor industries, our model is simple; we integrate immersive product, industry, trend and market knowledge with forward thinking and budget conscious marketing initiatives.

The result? Thoughtfully composed, effective and turnkey pitches presented to a broad network of industry media. A mix of functional expertise along with a conversational no-entitlement approach. In other words, we help journalists get to yes. Which then translates into coverage for our clients.

Using well-established editorial contacts, we then leverage core vertical credibility into broader placements and editorial review within larger active lifestyle outlets and mainstream audiences. Increased awareness and enthusiasm for our partner brands and clients creates maximized marketing spend and increased revenue.

Our abilities encompass all aspects of consumer, media and corporate communications, including PR, tradeshows, copywriting and editing, NYC showrooms, events, social media and media familiarity trips. Additionally, our network of creative embeds allow us to identify and capitalize upon strategic opportunities within print, digital and social media.

Living life on the road helping support local mountain bike efforts and helping to get more people excited to spend a life on two wheels. While also marketing a top-notch clothing brand focused on creating the best possible MTB apparel utilizing the best fabrics and manufacturing techniques available. 

Field Marketing Manager - Van Program

- Working with local mountain bike chapters/clubs, land managers, and community officials to help develop singletrack trail access for mountain bikers.
- Educate local volunteers on value of organization, professionalism, and the importance of working through the steps of the bureaucratic process.

IMBA's grassroots educational program and an authority on sustainable trail building practices. We traveled year-round throughout the United States and beyond, leading trail work sessions, meeting with land managers and working with IMBA Chapters and clubs as well as the communities they serve to improve mountain biking opportunities. The Trail Care Crew program has inspired great volunteer trail work across the U.S. and abroad - a big help to government agencies and land managers who have limited funding for trail construction and upkeep. As a direct result, there are now thousands of new and improved trails in all 50 states, Canada, Mexico and several European countries.
