My primary role is to promote and implement tactical sourcing activities, while proactively managing assigned commodity and supply base. I construct RFQ's and are responsible for negotiating products or services from strategic suppliers. I am also responsible for establishing and maintaining supplier relationships to seek maximum value for the company including total cost of ownership.
Develop RFQ's, obtain and analyze quotations, lead sourcing efforts, and negotiate total cost elements for assigned commodity and with key suppliers, in line with Operation strategies.

I have recommended opportunities to reduce total cost through new sources, substitutions, improved systems or methods, and other supply chain management techniques such as target costing, negotiations, etc.

I can analyze current market trends and track appropriate indices for key components of a business to anticipate price fluctuations and potential market shortages.

Reviewed and interpreted complex requirements, construct compliant and competitive proposal inputs, directly negotiate and manage large and complex Master Service Agreements and pricing contracts
Identify and manage new product development opportunities and integrate new business units into the sourcing efforts.

Evaluate alternative proposals and select the most effective approach to meet objectives
Identify and select suppliers that can provide the required quality, flexibility, reliability, and pricing for select services and commodities

Supplier Relationship Management - participate in regular supplier audits and monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) through, but not limited to, quarterly and annual business reviews

Maintain and monitor the Approved Supplier List (ASL) with input and feedback from Operations

Prepare periodical reports as agreed with management

Immediate reporting of non-conformances with follow up until resolved

Provide customer service through exceptional application of consultative selling skills. Advise riders on all aspects of gear and equipment selection. Size and fit riders to the bicycles they have selected. Explain and demonstrate all features and benefits of the Bicycle they have selected. Provide exceptional service after the sale. Lead group rides and be an advocate for the sport of Cycling and the Bike Barn business. Continuously exceed monthly revenue goals. 

Sales 

Currently manage South Texas territory to successfully make monthly goals and
eventually making our annual goal.
Represent the Specialized brand at all times.
Support all sales initiatives to grow business in all territories being developed.
Consistent and effective use of consultative skills to build rapport with accounts and coach them as
needed to make their business better.

Field Market Devloper

Assisted the Operations Chief and was prepared to perform duties in his absence.
Executed duties as Battalion Combat Operations Center Watch Chief, Coordinating fire support, Medical
Evacuation support and ensuring the work flow of all war fighting functions are integrated to support
subordinate units on the battlefield.
Supervised significant event reporting to higher headquarters including the quality control of
storyboards, situation reports, and other information requirements.
Assisted the Operations Officer in the planning, execution and documentation of all battalion training
evolutions.
Served as the Battalion Assistant Operations Chief during combat operations, a billet designated for a
Master Sergeant (2 ranks higher).
Developed and implemented standard operating procedures for a highly effective combat operations center
while forward deployed to Sangin, Afghanistan in support of OEF 10.2.
Served as Battalion Watch Chief and Watch Officer in a Combat Operations Center.

Infantry Unit Leader

Advised on equipment selection to produce the best performance possible in both Triathlon and Road
Racing applications.

market.


Sales Manager

Sales manager at Trek Concept Store in San Diego while store was still owned by the corporation, not a
private owner.
While in this role I was responsible for recruiting the sales force, conducting training, and select initial
inventory for a brand new shop.
Also responsible for the merchandising and branding of the store per the guidelines set out by Trek
Bicycle Corporation pertaining to their concept stores.
Established a network from the local cycling community to announce the opening of our locations and
market our store.
Conducted formal presentations to major retailers looking to partner with Trek Bicycle Corporation.
Daily set the example for the sales force providing them with a positive example to execute needs based
sales and coached and mentored them in their deficiencies.
Worked closely with the service manager to ensure exceptional service after the sale was being given to
all clients.
