My name is Morgan Jefferies, I am currently a Studio Technician in the Global Apparels Materials Library at Nike, Inc. WHQ in Beaverton, OR. Upon graduating from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles with my degree in Merchandise Product Development, I drove up to the Northwest in pursuit of a creative career in active sportswear. I landed a position at REI HQ in Kent, WA as the temporary Material Development Assistant for the fitness, cycling, yoga, and childrenswear categories. In my time at REI I obtained the role of Assistant Designer to the Fitness and Yoga categories, in addition to my existing role as Material Development Assistant. Unfortunately, the company went through a regorg and my position was moved to Asia. Soon thereafter, I accepted the offer from Nike, Inc. to move down to Portland and run their Global Apparel Materials Studio. My experience has been wonderful but I am looking for growth in either a creative, design position, or as a sales representative; and to relocate back down to Southern California.
