To Whom It May Concern:
Before I blow you away with my average and generic cover letter that, of course, meets all the requirements of the job posting and probably sounds just like a hundred others… let me start by saying I have a true passion for design and I am good at it. I knew since my junior year of high school that this was what I was going to do. Screw the math, biology and English (apologies in advance for grammatical errors, I am an artist) I am good at making things look pretty. But in all seriousness, I have the necessary qualifications, experience and future potential for this position.
I am currently a graphic designer for Guess? in the visual merchandising department. I design all the in store signage, marketing and window concepts and designs for Guess Factory and G By Guess. I also have in house agency experience. I freelance on the side as well making wedding invitations/collateral, flyers, logos and more.
I am a driven, self-starter individual, who always gives every task my all, even if it is the MOST boring task. I am well versed in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. I work well in a high volume and fast paced environment. I would make a great add to any team for many reasons. First, you will find I always have a positive attitude, a smile on my face and a little dance in my step. I thrive in-group collaborations. I love to bring as many new ideas to the table as I can think of. I also take criticism well as well as direction and I am not afraid to speak up. I take great pride in my design work and always strive for my ideas to be original, out of the box and always client or brand focused. I pay close attention to detail. Also, if I am not being pushed as a designer I get bored, so I need to be challenged and have enough responsibility! I am always pushing to reach higher in my career and learn as many new things as I can. This is all your standard cover letter material that you have probably heard before but sounds pretty great right? Because I am RAD.
I am ready to continue learning and improving my craft as a designer as well as moving forward into the next phase of my career. I look forward to discussing my qualifications, goals and my portfolio since it really all is better in person. I can be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 559.289.4428. My resume is attached for you to review and my portfolio is available to view at www.rad-411.com
Thank you for your time and consideration.
