Capital Buyer

I have a experienced background in the outdoor market and love the industry and people associated with it. I want use my experience, decision making, and personal relationship skills to provide profitability and efficiency by using my knowledge, creativity and ability to meet deadlines.

As a capital buyer I work closely with suppliers, planning, engineers, logistics and management to procure semiconductor capital equipment used in the production of NAND flash memory which is found in most mobile devices, hard drives, laptops, PCs and many other electronic devices. New technology is emerging and our business is growing to meet the demands in the industry and our parent company Intel.

IM Flash is a joint venture between Intel and Micron. I support capital manufacturing tools as a spare buyer in Implant, PVD, Photo and Yield Enhancement lab process areas which produce silicon wafers containing memory. IM Flash is a fast-paced environment and I work with a great purchasing team to keep up with the demand of our customers in producing the highest quality NAND flash memory.

Spares Buyer

Coordinated a team of Product Managers in creating, designing and implementing manufacturing of automotive accessories and gift merchandise while maintaining critical communication with foreign office and manufacturing facilities in China, Taiwan and Thailand. 

Responsible for delegating tasks, conducting weekly meetings, special projects and attending trade shows for new ideas and strengthening customer relationships. 

Traveled to China to implement new procedures and follow up with manufacturing facilities for quality control and design changes.
Assisted in catalog reviews prior to printing and involved in off-site photo shoots for product catalogs.

Worked in cooperation with sales, design and logistic teams to manage our workload, product demand and time-lines of product roll-out.

Director of Product Development

Responsible for product selection and execution within the department for chain-wide distribution to retail stores and online e-commerce

Ensure proper cost, price, turn rate and margin in each category purchased involving over 4,000 SKUs

Work closely with over 150 vendors and sales representatives to establish and maintain critical relationships

Travel to attend industry trade shows (SHOT, OR, Denver Merchandise Mart, Atlanta Gift Show). 

Consult with advertising to select advertised items and provide copy and proper images

Oversee merchandising of product in retail environment
Managed a team of field managers responsible for store to corporate relations

Managed other buyers in their roles as category managers
Organized, coordinated and presented week-long training for 75  managers on a yearly basis

Consult with a demand and replenishment planner for forecasting, inventory levels and proper retail store assignment of SKUs

Frequently involved with decision making committees to better manage growth and the changing business structure 

Responsible for forecasting merchandise and its direct relation to budget, goals and open to buy

Work with suppliers as a primary source of feedback on trends within the industry
