Project Manger

My name is Chandler McCune and since graduated from the University of Kansas with a BFA in Industrial Design I have been working as a project manager while doing freelance design. The more design work I do the more I miss it.  Finding a career that challenges me is my number one desire right now.   I would love to be able to be part of a snowboarding, skate, or surf company.  Working as a project manager has made me enjoy working in team environments even more than before.  While in school group projects were some of my favorites because of the quick feedback and progress of ideas when collaborating.  I can get along with almost anyone, have a relaxed personality with a strong work ethic, and do not give up without a fight. To rattle of a few more characteristics I am a self-starter, problem solver, good communicator, self-assured individual, and can multi task on several different projects while staying organized.  Researching and brainstorming are some of my favorite parts about design, because I like to know why something should be created before getting started. Currently Photoshop, Illustrator, Maya, and Keyshot are being used daily for design work I do on the side and for fun. On past projects I have used Rhino, but I will need a refresh.  Learning new software and skills to advance myself, as a designer, is something I am always willing to do. Our common shop on campus was like my second home, I became very familiar with different tools and building methods to help build mock up models and¬ prototypes. Outside of work I love movies, creating art, snowboarding, and concerts.

Traveling project manger that oversees remodel projects throughout the entire process. Sometimes I have to create manuals to help streamline projects and give guidance to other crews.  I have learned how to manage my time and people better and increased my skills of multitasking. 

Create multiply 3D models in a time crunch for activations at Music Festivals.  This is something I do on the side when they need help showing a client what their lounge, bar, or other activation will look like. Even when these jobs are stressful and have short deadlines, it makes me miss designing all the time.
