My name is Jacob Lutz and I am a recent graduate from Southeastern University. I started doing graphic design as a sophomore in high school and have been doing it for the past 8 years. At Southeastern University, I was a student leader in the student development department. As a student leader, I was involved with doing graphic design for student parties on campus, creating marketing schemes, and making different promotional pieces. I also was a part of doing all the graphic design for chapel services, and coming up with all the marketing and design for the SEU Conference that happens every spring. The last 2 years I have been doing graphic design for a print company in Sidney, Maine called Colorgraphics.Me. I have designed anything from big banner to business cards. With an influx of work, I started my own freelance design company. I have obtained clients from Tennessee, North Carolina, and numerous places in Florida. I recently also worked in Fort Myers, FL as a graphic designer for Next Level Church. People look at my resume and say that working at a church doing design is not good professional experience and I do not really agree with that. At a professional company, designer are limited to the specific brand and feel of the company. Working for a church I had to become a multi facet designer. One week I would design products one way and the next week we would be doing something with a different feel or look. It has stretched my creativity as a designer and has widened my ability. My goal is ultimately to work for a company that works hand in hand with one of my passions. The action sports life has consumed who I am and has brought so much fun and joy to my life. Working for a company that is right in the middle of it all would be great. I would be able to stretch myself even more and design products for an interest I am so passionate about.
