Design Mentor

Hi I’m Dom, I am a designer, puzzler, and techie. I’ve been solving problems since I was eight years old. I love learning, and asking how? why? and what if? My approach to design is more strategic by understanding the core problems that need to be resolved, and finding solutions that best fit each and every one of them. I’m constantly thinking ahead about the bigger picture and how we can all get there together for great design.

After graduating in 2014, I continued my relationship with my mentors from Laguna College of Art and Design. This allowed me to share my experiences with students and fellow alumni on how I have tackled the diversity of the creative industry and found my voice as a designer. 

As a freelance designer I have managed multiple freelance projects from scoping, account management, design and deployment support. Each project I work hand in hand with understanding the client’s goals, insights and desires and bringing them into fruition.

Managed multiple projects varying in length, complexity and urgency alongside remaining in contact with not only all those involved with the projects, but with department heads and clients. 

Overhauled agency-wide approach to web and UI/UX design. Including involving everyone participating in the project, working hand in hand with development and creating a collaborative environment for truly unique and innovative design and user experience. 

Lead and art direct multiple campaigns ranging from social media, customer engagement and overall presence. Ensuring that all moving pieces follow and represent campaign and client strategy. 

Positioned myself amongst the company to always be available and willing to jump on any project. This has enabled me to assist in multiple projects and provide input on not only client strategy, but individual pieces ranging from brand application, social engagement, and on-line presence.
