Global Regulatory Readiness Lead

I have 10 years of experience in outerwear and accessories product development, testing and compliance. My work experience ranges from creating textile testing protocols and standard operating procedures to line planning and sales. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Textile Sciences from the University of Manitoba where I studied line planning, garment production, and basic testing of fibres and fabrics. I am able to work independently but I thrive in a collaborative work environment. I have a particular interest in outerwear and bags and I would like to focus on these categories.

- Oversee product testing and compliance, production quality assurance and social responsibility programs for all product categories
- Develop protocols and processes to ensure products meet international regulatory requirements as well as company quality standards
- Work directly with factories and suppliers to ensure they understand expectations in regards to product quality
- Collaborate with 3rd party labs and inspection services to monitor our RSL and product quality testing and in line production quality
- Manage and track all product testing, quality inspections and audits of manufacturing partners

Product Compliance Manager

- Collaborated with 12 product managers and various product categories to ensure they meet company defined standards and government regulations for the USA and Canada. 
- Tracked and maintained the test reports for the Firefly, McKinley and Diadora brands in North America, totalling $50M of the annual apparel business at FGL Sports
- Communicated with third party testing labs Intertek and SGS and managed a textile testing manual for the companies privet label brands 
- Worked with 20 + vendors to ensure that products were compliant and met company standards and specifications
- Facilitated the initial vendor training seminars for our vendors in Asia to ensure they understand our Standard Operating Procedure and testing requirements
- Researched testing technologies and industry standards, and attend conferences and trade shows to stay up to date with new developments in apparel and textiles. 

Quality Assurance Specialist - Testing

- Assisted the Product Manager for the McKinley brand with sales and product development and managed the purchase orders for the category, totalling $10M annually
- Track shipments of orders from Asia to the distribution centres in North America
- Created tech packs for various types of garments and accessories
- Communicated daily with 15+ vendors regarding lab dips, trims and samples for styles in development
- Organized and managed numerous samples each season
- Created catalogs for bi-annual sales meetings
