Contract Packaging Designer (through PRO Unlimited)

Contract packaging designer at Mattel, working on the Wheels team (Hot Wheels, and Matchbox). Responsible for a variety of tasks, including: creation of graphical elements (icons, logos), concept design, illustration, and art direction of internal and external resources. Working on licensed and core lines, including: Marvel, Hot Wheels Basics and Hot Wheels Adult Collectors packaging. Provide design support for all groups within the Wheels packaging team.

Red-Hot Rocket Design is a design studio specializing in creating properties for licensing. As well as creating various intellectual properties, Red-Hot Rocket also functions as an independent design studio.

Conscientious of price points and able to rework products from a component or material perspective after costing analysis. Delivered print art to China quickly to speed the sampling process. Supplied the in-house sewing team with art as well to produce pre-production and sales samples. Designed several exclusive items for Wal-Mart and Target.

Specialized in redesigning and modernizing company’s Roll Desk line complete with voice and sound, pairing it with such licenses as Littlest Pet Shop® and Thomas the Tank®. Created several designs in less than a week and prepared them for the model maker.

Focused work using Pantone Color Matching System (PMS) and Spot Colors to create purses, stationery, calendars, and checks for the Pampered Girls and Pampered Pets licenses. Created artwork for license and textile design with repeat patterns.
