Since 2015 I have been providing strategic advisory services to emerging brands in the sport and active lifestyle industries, in particular those with a focus on hardgoods, protective equipment, and sports eyewear.

Drawing on my extensive domestic and international experience, my advisory services have been focused on two distinct areas.

Product Development - My work here was focused around the implementation of product development processes and bringing structure, discipline and process to my clients’ product design and development teams.

Sales & Marketing - Key account sales, building and managing marketing and sales teams and the development and implementation of channel specific go-to-market strategies.



Advisor to the Board of Directors 
Responsible for building out the North American sales and management organization along with serving as an advisor to the Board and the Executive team on product and business strategy. 


Consultant - Business Development

Full responsibility for the development, execution and management of the company’s global product strategies across all five business units. Reporting directly to the CEO I was to lead the next phase of 
product design, product development and product innovation by building and managing a world-class product management organization.

Senior Vice President – Global Category Management

•	Developed and implemented a comprehensive three-year global business plan that produced an increase in revenues from $2.6M to $5.3M and improved gross margins by 7 points in two years.
•	Realigned the sunglass sales organization resulting in an increase of 48% in new door openings to 786 doors and an increase in revenues of 27% from existing doors
•	Redirected the global product strategy and managed the development team through the design, development, manufacturing and on-time delivery of 31 new sunglass and Rx models
•	Launched the company’s first optical eyewear collection. Led the search, negotiation, hiring and training of an international optical sales force that exceeded new account openings by 234% to 117 doors in first quarter to 370 doors at the end of year two
•	Direct responsibility for the division’s P&L, consistently exceeded desired results across sales, product and marketing while remaining on or below budget all while under resource constraints and therefore in a lean, entrepreneurial fashion
•	Direct reports: 5 (national sales manager, director of marketing, director of design, senior product line manager, Retail marketing manager)


Vice President & General Manager - Eyewear

Directly responsible for overall profitability, product, sales and marketing for the ANON Optics and ANON/RED Helmet business units generating in excess of $40 million annually. Defined and implemented 
long and short-term business strategies; set and administer budgets and initiate cost controls to ensure profitability. 

•	Developed and maintained a rolling, three-year business plan consistently exceeding the business unit’s profitability objectives
•	Improved consolidated pre-tax profit from a 13.09% loss to 17.6% within the first 4 years to 21.1% through increased sales, a reduction in cost of goods, improved operational efficiencies, implementation of a product scarcity model and controlled G&A spending
•	Developed each business unit’s global product strategies and led a team of industrial designers, engineers, product managers, developers and manufacturing engineers through industrialization of award-winning designs and the game changing functional performance of the M1 and M2 goggles with Magna Technology (magnetic lens interchangeability)
•	Led product design, development and engineering teams through the incorporation of new material technologies from concept to commercialization resulting in the international award winning M1 and M2 goggles and the successful re-launch of helmets incorporating industry-leading advancements in technology 
•	Restructured the ANON and R.E.D. product teams to optimize design and development efficiencies and create greater synergy between the two winter product groups
•	Developed and implemented each business unit’s product line initiatives including budget development to ensuring proper business unit resource deployment across all new product development programs
•	Developed and instituted a three-year volume-based pricing structure with key Asian supply chain partners as a hedge against China deflation and labor cost increases through 2011

category manager, industrial design director, project engineer)
