Product Development and Design 

The experience I’ve gained as an apparel designer has awarded me with a sense of pride; an aptitude for leadership and the ability to stay organized and focused to see projects and time sensitive tasks through to absolution. I believe that my background working in various stages of the lifecycle of garment development requires the ability to wear many hats and multi-task under pressure; while maintaining the expectations of our client’s and reporting to multiple managers with cross-functional teams to do whatever takes to see that the deadlines are met and expectations are exceeded. I am no stranger to closing the deal under manufacturing restrictions and financial analysis while upholding a level of integrity and commitment to building revenue for the team. 

-Point of contact for all aspects of production and merchandising for Jr's sportswear suiting sold in over 1,000 stores 
 -Coordinate design packages with international suppliers on specs and pricing to ensure products follow quality control processes specific to each customer
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of cross-functional teams (Design, Sales, Planning, and Distribution)
- Communicate daily with manufacturers to ensure product specifications, quality standard, and deadlines are met 
- Manages technical team's design direction, calendar, and production fabric orders 
-Final color approval on color, design, and quality for 10,000 units in Macy's, Kohl's, and JcPenny's

- Researched internet sites using search engine optimization (SEO) programs to verify the integrity of blogs
- Composed professional and thorough communications regarding research for internal and external customers, authors, and posts based on client's qualifications
- Provided insight regarding style and fit of blog posts, author's and potential clients during weekly meetings based on trend evaluations
- Maintained all client information and resources 
- Proactively and effectively communicated with Account Manager and Supervisor if author's met deadline

Web Researcher and Blog Post Coordinator 

-Partnered with Design Team to create and deliver seasonal product lines resulting in Gap, Inc. doubling profits for the Dress Business in 2015 
-Worked proactively with all members of cross-functional teams, supporting and developing business relationships to ensure successful results at all levels of product development on Men's/Women's accessories and Women's Dresses 
-Researched and interepreted trends efficiently for the brand, providing original artwork for seasonal presentations
-Served as the liaison to Hong Kong, India, and Korean manufacturing teams for responding to product development requests 
-Conducted training for new freelancers on design processes and administrative duties
 

Freelance Designer 

-Pitched and presented ideas/concepts to merchandising and planning by actively participating in the conceptual development of product 
- Responsible for researching and interpereting global markets to identify new trends, fabrics, techniques, etc.
- Provided insight regarding style and fit of product during presentations based on trend evaluation
- Conducted fit sessions; responsible for final presentation of fit for approval by CEO Mike Jeffries 
- Coordinated team cultural and training events
