Customer Service Representative/Office Manager

As the Adventure Camp Coordinator, I planned, prepared & taught age-appropriate activities for campers aged 4-16, oversaw the camp counselors, acted as the intermediary between the counselors and the nature center staff, and taught youth rock climbing. The activities included live animal presentations using ambassador animals, orienteering, and animal tracking courses. I also acted as the on-site naturalist for events held at the nature center, including fundraisers and birthday parties.

Adventure Camp Coordinator

I maintained the extensive Marlboro College trail system used year round for hiking, biking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. I regularly assessed the trail conditions and developed plans to remediate any problems that I found with overgrowth or drainage. I organized work day activities focusing on improving the trails around campus, and I helped groom the trails for cross-country skiing during the winter.

Outdoor Program Trail Steward

I developed a regular wilderness skills program for the Marlboro College Outdoor Program. I led workshops on animal tracking, fire-by-friction methods, winter survival shelter construction, and primitive basket weaving. I also operated the OP "front desk" where I helped answer student's questions about upcoming outdoor program activities and oversaw the outdoor gear rental program.
