Assistant Designer

I am currently seeking open opportunities in the Apparel Industry in Orange County and San Diego County. I have over five years experience in both design and product development. I aspire to work for either an active or casual lifestyle brand. I am open to design, trend, and product development opportunities.

-Assist Men’s Design Team across numerous in-house and licensed apparel brands.
-Create tech packs, linesheets, millsheets, update specs, and CAD drawings in Illustrator and WebPDM.
-Conduct trend and color research, attend apparel fittings, and work cross-functionally with buyers, merchants, tech design, and e-commerce.

-Assisted in marketing and events to spread brand awareness. 
-Educated new and existing consumers on contracted brands. 
-Attended fitness and health events to provide sponsorship and sampling opportunities.  
-Participated in new and exciting marketing strategies to keep consumers interested in the client brands.

Brand Ambassador

-Worked on FemCare team, designing print and pattern for Proctor & Gamble.
-Conducted trend research and color analysis related to product creation and packaging.
-Edited existing print and pattern based on client meetings and consumer research.
-Met with clients covering several global brands to fulfill print and pattern design contracts.

Fashion Design Intern

-Worked directly under Menswear Design Director on Holiday 2013 and Spring 2014.
-Conducted trend research, flat sketching, and assembled tech packs in WebPDM.
-Prepared boards to present to the brand teams and creative directors.
-Sourced trim and fabric from several vendors while working cross-functionally with Product Development.

Apparel Design Intern

-Assisted stylists and designers in pulling inspiration and garments prepping for photo shoots, editorials, and upcoming campaigns.
-Accompanied buyers on shopping trips and trend research.
-Worked with buyers on market need analysis to fulfill highest profitable return on buys.

Styling and Buying Intern

-Worked with Men’s Knitwear Team overseeing A&F, Hollister, and Abercrombie brands.
-Created and reviewed tech packs for vendors.
-Conducted fit meetings and corrected garment patterns in AccuMark and WebPDM.
-Completed specs on incoming samples prior to fit meetings and approvals.

Tech Design Intern

-Worked with Product Development and Testing teams in fit and wear testing on new and existing footwear.
-Sent and received prototypes to global fit and wear testers and professional athletes testing new product.
-Oversee fit and wear testing schedule and keep up-to-date, detailed data on wear feedback in PLM.
-Present testing research to product development and testing teams and act as liaison between field testers and design.
