I thoroughly enjoy being outside participating in any activity whether it be one of the sports listed below or simply wandering around nature with my camera taking pictures and video footage.

Editorial Intern

I spearheaded my career in the snowboard industry as an Editorial Intern for Snowboard Magazine which then led to a position as a contributing writer for an online segment. After spending the winter contributing for Snowboard Magazine, I decided to broaden my knowledge of the outdoor industry by joining forces with a consumer website dubbed Active Junky. Active Junky brought me on as a Editorial Intern for their website in an effort to gain users and followers by implementing different forms of marketing tools within our editorial pieces. This opportunity opened my eyes to the business side of the industry where it is important to produce numbers and create an appropriate image for the business itself. I currently intern for Method Magazine as an Editor where it is my responsibility to work closely with the Editor in Chief and to promote the magazine throughout North America and Europe. In addition, I intern for Process Films to elevate my skills in filming and photography while taking charge of post production work that will contribute to their YouTube channel. It is my ultimate goal to pursue any career in an industry that I am passionate about while executing job responsibilities that can benefit the business and the industry.

Editorial production
- Working closely with the Editor in Chief to create new content to be featured in print and online.
- Promote the magazine throughout North America and Europe by establishing relationships with owners of core shops and to expand our distribution.
- Bring exposure to Scandinavian snowboarding through writing, photography and filming by connecting with local crews, established riders and new talent.

Film and Photography Production
- Create new content ideas for the company YouTube Channel to gain more followers.
- Assist the other filmers and photographers during production.
- Edit video footage in Premier Pro and After Effects to be displayed on the YouTube Channel.
- Network in order to bring more projects to the table.

Production Intern

Editorial and Media production through CMS
     -Worked with a coworker to collect, organize and format content, tech specs and images for 2014 Summer Buyer’s Guide
     -Required extensive use of Photoshop and Excel
Conducted market research focused on outdoor consumer groups
     -Devised and created content based on findings from research
     -Goal was to keep content relevant to season, aimed at a particular market group and to attract readers and/or potential buyers to the website
     -Required to avoid conventional means of presenting content in order to entice outdoor enthusiasts to read Active Junky’s content over other published sources

Assisted with production of 2014 Buyer’s Guide
     - Emailed relevant companies for confirmation on MSRPs, images and product names
     - Organized products from photo shoot and shipped it back to the companies
     - Edited and confirmed images had proper MSRP, name and spelling before sent to print
Began to contribute writing for “Gear Up” section of Snowboardmag.com at the end of internship

Work published in Vol.10.2 Issue
     -Selected brands and products that would appeal to readers and consumers
     -Wrote product descriptions and reviews for ‘Product Reserve’ section including action cams, boots, and jackets
Contributed writing for Snowboardmag.com
     -Content was focused on snowboard gear for “Gear Up” section of the website
     -Collaborated with online editor to devise relevant product themes, round-ups and price-points
     -Required excessive used of Photoshop and WordPress
