Production Manager

Product Development and Production background in denim, knits, wovens, and leather  accessories. Experience in domestic and international production with specialized experience in garment dye/wash and denim washes.  Men's, women's, kid's, and accessories.

Manage the entire domestic production processes and schedules, from ordering fabric & trims through warehouse delivery in a women’s knit and woven sportswear environment.  Other key initiatives are: 
• Issue production purchase orders to sewing contractors and other send-out processes 
• Closely monitor the sample and production schedule and work-in-progress reports to ensure timely deliveries
• Negotiate costs with contractors for services provided 
• Close communication with the in-house design and operations departments in regards to design integrity and delivery dates
• Review the goods at each stage of the development and production process to certify the goods meet and represent the highest quality and design standards

Managed the pre-production and production process in a domestic and import environment.  Other key initiatives: 
• Issue all domestic work orders; cut tickets, sewing, wash, and finishing
• Closely monitor the production schedule and work-in-progress reports to ensure timely deliveries
• Negotiate contractor prices and approve invoices
• Monitor import vendor’s sample and production schedule
• Review/Approve bulk submits; samples, fabrics, wash/color
• Daily updates to WIP reports based on visits/communication with contractors
• Review goods at each stage of the production process to verify the goods are of the intended design standard and quality
• Create and maintain style master, manage production of fit samples, attend fittings and production hand off’s

Product Development/Production Coordinator

Managed the domestic production processes and schedules, from fabric cutting through warehouse delivery in a denim and ready-to wear environment.  Other key initiatives: 
• Issue production purchase orders to sewing contractors and other send-out processes

Maintained and updated the records of all product development projects, developing and testing product concepts and managing the overseas production process of ordered goods in a leather accessory environment. Other key initiatives: 
• Private Label account management
• Prepare product details/technical illustrations, samples, pricing and trend data for buyers and team members
• Formalize and manage the product development through production process from end to end, including; concept, development, purchase order, pre-production, approvals, production and product delivery
• Daily communication with overseas suppliers regarding; issuance of purchase orders, schedule/lead-times, quality control, sample corrections, production and delivery
• Ensure manufacturing practices and factory facilities meet the standards of our customers and the federal government

Planned, directed, and coordinated the daily functions within the small business’, luxury t-shirt design, development and production environment.  Other key initiatives: 
• Plan entire product development, pre-production, and production schedule
• Manage outsourced contractors and their execution of the design concept and quality control
• Account management from line sheet and sample review, receiving PO’s, re-orders, RA’s, pricing and
customer service
• Contractor price negotiation, invoicing and payments

Planned, coordinated and controlled the domestic manufacturing process in a luxury, women’s sportswear environment.  Other key initiatives: 
• Ensuring goods were produced efficiently; of the correct quality, quantity, and cost 
• Monitor and evaluate production for foreseen challenges and potential improvements
• Prepare and release trims to contractors
• Issue and receive production units to contractors for each process; sewing, wash/dye, s/o, finishing
• Source, develop, and maintain relationships with key vendors 
• Issue and manage purchase orders for fabric, send outs and trims

Production Assistant

Assisted in selecting merchandise to order, issue PO’s, inventory management, distribution, and replenishment in a buying office environment.  Other key initiatives:
• Management of purchase orders with vendors
• Analyze past buying trends, price, and quality of merchandise
• Close communication with the Design department to advise of new trim trends and provide trim samples 
• Create and update inventory into weekly reports
