Manager, Portfolio Management

Rich recently relocated to the Seattle area. He is an avid outdoorsmen--specifically skiing, fly-fishing, and climbing.  He is an alumni of Colorado College and NOLS.  After graduating from CC he moved to New York City and worked at various media agencies on accounts including Auto, CPG, Finance, and Publishing.  Most recently he's worked extensively for BMW marketing their electric vehicle (BMWi) where he is currently a Media Manager.  He is determined to join the outdoor industry as a Marketing Manager (or similar role) to combine his personal interests with past experience.

•Strategic Media Manager integrated across BMW’s (National and 56 Local DMAs), and BNY Mellon’s media campaigns
•Manage multifaceted campaigns across all media platforms; including Awareness Tactics, Native, and Social executions 
•Train and manage Media Planners and Associate Planners on campaign process, planning, and maintenance
•Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Media partners, creative services, vendors, and local representatives


•Developed and presented 2014 market strategy and tactical plan for BMWi (electric vehicles), 4 Series, and M Series campaigns
•Maintain budgets in excess of $250MM and provide monthly reporting to BMW Marketing Managers
•Consolidate and produce monthly advertising activity summaries (Media, Creative, CRM, Events) for BMW HQ in Germany
•Planned and executed 2013 integrated custom content campaigns for BMWi, 3GT, 4 Series, and Diesel new vehicle launches


Senior Associate, Portfolio Management

•Integrated strategic Media Planner across TV, Print, Digital, OOH, and Radio on Unilever Personal Care brands
•Developed strategy, tactical media recommendation, and implemented Unilever’s largest historical brand launch “Clear”
•Represented Mindshare in multi-agency Activation and Equity campaign brainstorms while developing brand marketing strategies with Clients, PR, and Creative agencies
•Planned targeted advertising campaigns for General Market, Hispanic, and African American demographics across all platforms
•Acted as Senior Unilever Finance leadership’s point of contact for portfolio wide budget management of over twenty brands


Senior Associate Media Planner

•Unilever Brand Team point of contact for developing custom creative and editorial assets with multiple media partners
•Developed and crafted monthly Digital analytic reports showcasing campaign insights and optimization recommendations
•Managed and maintained multiple brands’ budgets and billing reconciliation throughout the respective campaigns’ duration


Associate Media Planner

•Manage and edit content for the Sports section of Colorado College's newspaper

•Fully integrated on the BMW Account Management team, managing multifaceted projects for BMWUSA.com
•Selected from a group of interns to work on the BMW Active-E electric vehicle new business pitch; participated in internal brainstorming sessions, analyzed electric car market dynamics, and created presentation materials
