I was employed with UPS for over 23 years. For the last 10 years I was the Business / Operations manager for 10 UPS facilities located in south and central Texas. As the manager of these facilities I was the highest level of management in the facility and solely responsible for the entire operation. Some of my daily duties and overall responsibilities were; staffing (hiring & terminating), employee training (annual & new), safety (OSHA & DOT), compliance, driver dispatch, building management and maintenance, fleet management, customer service (weekly meeting with customers), employee performance and discipline, driver dispatch, scheduling of all work (employees & hours), production, budget forecasting and analysis, and operational P&L. In the past 9 years, I managed over 900 employees that reported directly to me. In each operation, I managed on average over 90 employees with an average monthly payroll of approximately $400,000. My goal is to gain employment with an organization in a mid to high level management role. Opportunity for promotion and the chance to take on more responsibility are very important to me.
