Facility Management and Game Day Operations Assistant

I recently served as a Facility and Event Management Intern under the Director of Moody Coliseum at Southern Methodist University. As an intern, I assisted the director in the oversight of Moody Coliseum and Crum Basketball Center and the day-to-day operations that take place within the facilities. Additionally, I coordinated with our in-house janitorial and maintenance staff to ensure that our athletic facilities are in the best possible conditions in order to satisfy our fans, student-athletes, and administration. 
My experience at SMU includes working game day operations, set-up, and tear down for our Division I NCAA competitions in Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Volleyball, along with special events such as this year’s nationally televised live broadcast of the Collegiate Slam Dunk & 3 Point contest.  For football, I served as an on the field replay assistant for the American Athletic Conference. During this year’s basketball season, I was entrusted with overseeing all handicap seating areas along with acclimating ushers and security personnel to the coliseums new seating layout that came as a result of the $50 million renovations that took place this past year. 


• Maintained basketball arena and practice facilities along with volleyball and tennis facilities
• Assisted in planning, preparation and execution of all aspects of event management and game  production in support of NCAA collegiate athletic competitions and special events

•	 Actively involved  in the opening of the $50 million renovation for Moody Coliseum
•	Coordinated, prepared, and executed  practices and competitions held by SMU basketball and volleyball
•	Provided tours and hospitality for visiting groups and potential clients seeking to rent available   spaces
•	Trusted with overseeing and assisting custodial and security services used for events
•	Facilitated the maintenance of Moody Coliseum, Crum Basketball Center & Ford Stadium
•	Provided assistance and hospitality for special guests  such as President Bush and                              professional athletes 
•	Served as an on-field replay official for the American Athletic Conference for the entire 2013    Football Season

Facility Operations and Event Management Intern

•	Assist in the organization of information related to clients and speakers represented by ATG.                              
•	Create speaker profiles and bios that are posted on the company website.
•	Help in the search process for the acquisition of potential clients.

Client Services Representative

•	Interacted with retail store managers with regards to business and product flow
•	Evaluated Red Bull product levels and consumer trends at retail locations throughout the DFW
•	Activated new marketing initiatives throughout retail area of responsibility
•	Instructor for new employees, teaching responsibilities and duties of merchandising
