Operator - Operating a Micro Thermics Machine for food Manufacturing. Also operating Homogenizer and clean process hood. Miniature Plant Trials are conducted in the Pilot Plant where customers can formulate and process products at conditions ranging from hot-filling to Ultra High Temperature (UHT) processes (for aseptic and extended shelf life products). To duplicate tastes, color, aroma and long term trials (shelf life etc.) before it goes to a large scale Production in the plant. Also writing all the S.O.P.’s for the pilot plant and operation. Tooling or making repairs on Micro Thermics as needed.
Lab Technician - I create favors from a formula given to me by a chemist. As well as preparing batches to be processed on the Micro Thermics from the customers Formulas. I would also make changes to Formulas batch by batch depending on what the customer would like to change.

Pilot Plant Operator / Supervisor / Lab Technician III / Purchasing / Customer Relations/ Project Ma

Operating gas-to-liquid (GTL) Fischer-Tropsch (FT) synthesis to produce renewable transportation fuels (biofuels) also known as (Jet/Rocket fuels, FT wax, oil). Worked with high temperatures and pressures (150-300 °C) (302-572 °F). Operating a Steam Methane Reformer (SMR) as a feedstock into (syngas) for the FT reactor, H:CO ratio is around 2.0:1. The outlet temperature of the syngas is between 950-1200 C and outlet pressure can be as high as 100 barg. Lab testing chemicals, using lab equipment and a Gas Chromatographic.

Reactor Operator/ Lab Technician III -R&D Pilot Plant start up

Responsibilities included: various testing to assure quality of the glue’s and coating’s coming in, out or being made within the plant are within specifications. Test methods: , pH’s, Gas Chromatographic, Viscosity, Acid value, Refractor index, W.P.G., Draw downs, Foam, Solids, Monomer content, Solvent content, Water content, Grit, Sediment, Light Transmission, Flash point, Cone and plate viscosity, Turbidity, Gurley Porosity, Gardner color, Apha color, NCO, Tortorici cure, Hydroxyl Number Titration (wet or FTNIR), FTIR, Amine value, Thermosel viscosity, Repackaged goods, Centrifuge, Tinsometor. After tests were complete I entered all results into SAP systems. Note: See software used in software programs area below

Lab Technician III/Quality Control

Reactor Operator 2 years - Operating chemical reactors, Running 1500 different batches at any given time, running tests on products to make sure they are within specifications. Load and unload batches, weighed materials. Following procedures to make sure batches are made right.

Lead Reactor operator 1 year - Leading self and others in tasks, Inventory, Strong math skills, Strong computer skills, Overseeing eight reactors, and four operated via computer. Also I oversaw eight reactor operators. Fixing any problems with the reactors, computers or the batches that are running to keep production on schedule, tooling reactors as needed.

Lab Technician 6 years - Responsibilities included: various testing to assure quality of the polymers and paints coming in, out or being made within the plant were within they’re specifications. Test methods: Viscosity, pHs, Acid value, Refractor index, W.P.G., Gloss, Dry time, Draw downs, Foam, Solids, Tint, and Color.
