Store Manager

Have been store manager for retail men's and women's eco-friendly clothing and accessories store.  

My goal is to obtain a new career in the sales or customer service field.

Managed store's daily functions.  

Managed employees-- including hiring, training and scheduling. 

Managed store merchandise-- selected products to be sold, managed inventory, knew fabrics, fit and origin and background of all products in the store.  Traveled to trade shows to view and choose products for the store.   

Head sales associate-- spoke with customers in the store, sold merchandise, ordered products upon request, was able to develop good relationships with many, created an email list and sent periodic emails to customers for sales or other store happenings.  Organized events for the store and set up booths and worked various fairs and smaller trade shows selling merchandise.

Managed store merchandising and placement and arrangement of store products.

Organized additional store events-- including a surfboard swap and runway fashion show.

Oversaw store's cleaning duties--including daily sweeping, dusting, vacuuming and washing glass and windows and outdoor garden.
