I am a product and mechanical design engineer. I have over 20 years experience in a variety of industries including aerospace (commercial and military), automotive, defense, consumer products, medical device, and marine . My experience and vertical growth have afforded me the opportunity to choose my path throughout my career always moving forward with exceptional performance for meeting challenges.

I am currently helping develop engineering infrastructure and system wide design and engineering for marine equipment in the newly emerging Ballast Water Management/Treatment field. 

I am looking forward to moving into a project engineering and management role for my current employer. This move will allow me to broaden my field experience in large scale engineering projects as well as my overseas relationship development skills.

Sports equipment designer. Product design and manufacturing development as well as engineering infrastructure development and support.

Engineering department development for startup including CAD and PDM software implementation and training. Configuration management and process control documentation, design staff hiring, management and training. Complete mechanical system design in Solidworks of patented ship ballast water treatment system. Overseas on-site installation support and training.

Senior Lead Designer

Design, modeling and drafting of hydraulic fluid systems for commercial and military aircraft. All aspects of design process from concept to production including process control documentation and proposals for new development.

Designer (contractor)

Design and development of custom aftermarket automotive accessories and components. Responsible for all aspects of design, engineering, testing, modeling, and drafting. Control of all documentation for engineering process. Also responsible for vendor and supplier sourcing as well as purchasing. Key contact for marketing and sales strategy.

Owner/Designer/Fabricator

Pre- and post sales support for large customer base of Solidworks users. Product demonstration, installation, training and support  for local customer base covering all aspects of Solidworks products.

Applications Engineer

Perform design (3D), drafting, and analysis of multiple projects for  and air and ground launch vehicle structures, separation sub-systems and components for customers such as AirLaunch and Orbital Sciences (supplier for Lockheed-Martin/Missile Defense Agency).

Design Engineer

Perform design (3D), drafting, and analysis of multiple project based components for rocket and satellite systems as well as space exploration and defense for customers such as JPL, NASA and USAF. Utilized software for modal and static analysis. Compiled results and presented reports to customers and redesigned as necessary.

•	Analyzed and interpreted customer specifications in an effort to source a product in a cost effective manner.
Technical liaison between external and internal customers. Worked directly with local customers and overseas vendors for timely delivery and cost reduction of manufactured goods. Imported manufactured items such as precision machined metals, sheet metal, plastics, ceramics, optical devices, furniture, consumer products, fasteners, and medical equipment.

Performed component level design of cargo loading systems for commercial aircraft. Actively participated in resolution of manufacturing and quality problems, and communicated potential issues to customer and vendor representatives. Interfaced with companies such as Boeing, Airbus, and FedEx. Provided IT support for LAN and WAN facilities and performed hardware/software testing and maintenance. Established functional engineering environment for onsite technical support of product at customer location.
Documented technical design modifications of aircraft components per FAA requirements. Designed and monitored test equipment and fixtures.Managerial duties, including delegation of project tasks to lower level engineering.

Design Engineer / MIS Admin (Engineering)

Specialized in design and development of various products of aftermarket automotive products, including their components. Interfaced with technical representatives and quality assessment department to refine specification requirements, design goals and schedules. Created and implemented document control procedures for engineering department. Created and managed CAD data library. Simplified process for creating technical documentation and installation manuals. Provided technical support for project engineers, involving manufacturing cost analysis and vendor integrity analysis.

CAD Designer

Designed medical devices, tooling, and consumer products, including their components. Actively participated in manufacturing process development and product roll-out. Customers included Sony Transcom, Medtronic, Rainbird and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. UNIX administration, I-deas software maintenance and general hardware/software testing and internal/external customer support. Developed and revised training manuals for I-deas and assisted with customer training. Developed marketing collateral, including logo design, web site development, advertisement and brochures. Assembled and managed trade show exhibits.
