Freelance Graphic Designer

Sharon has over 10 years experience as an Executive Assistant and 10 years experience as a Graphic Designer instrumental in the development and creation of packaging, branding, advertising, clothing and web page concept layout/design. Her designs span different commercial markets from Pet Supplements, Environmental, Off-Road Aftermarket Products to large scale graphics for Energy Drinks. Along with her passion for graphics, she also possesses an entrepreneurial spirit, "Can-Do" attitude and believes in the "What If?" approach to making things happen. This led her to cofound the Pier Rat Brand in 2012 with a good friend - talented Designer/ Business Partner, and to obtain/produce all of the necessary items to establish the new brand, trademark it, provide funding, and sales and marketing skills to get it currently into four local store locations.

In 2012 Sharon began providing her design talents to various clients.  The items designed include: corporate logo art, business cards, branding literature, real estate marketing pieces, animal rescue and adoption flyers, large format window graphics at various retail locations, clothing designs, banners and signage.

In 2012 Sharon and her good friend and talented fellow designer started Pier Rat - a new clothing brand in Huntington Beach, CA. She was integral in the operations of the new company,  generating the partnership agreement, acquiring the business license and necessary trademarks, ordering the products, stickers and accessories. She also acquired the photographer and clothing models, scheduled the photo shoots, and created the necessary administrative items to run the business. Additionally, She collaborated with her partner to design and implemented integral portions of the company website and provided sales and marketing skills to get the brand currently into four local retail locations.

Designer / Office Administration

Sharon began her career in 1986 as an Executive Assistant at Sparling Instruments where she stayed until October of 1989 supporting the President and Marketing Director with a wide range of duties including desktop publishing. While there, she attended DOS training and became certified.

In 1989 she became the executive assistant to the President and Vice President at Microtek Labs aiding in various tests, report generation, shipping, and accounts payable and receivable until 1991.

Immediately following that, Sharon joined the Creative Services Department at Specialty Brands where she organized the new department, learned Illustrator and Photoshop on the Mac computer and created various marketing pieces. During this time, she also attended RCC, earned her Associates in Art Degree in 1996, and then attended UCR in the Graphic Design Certificates Program.
