Production Manager

Hired to manage the Production department of Glex Inc., to improve fabrication efficiencies through cross training of personnel, hiring the right people for the right position, and improved material handling and documentation. Efforts provided the ability to complete multiple million dollar projects simultaneously within budget and schedule.

Hired as the Engineering Manager for Gulf Coast Environmental Systems to establish standardized engineering procedures and processes. During short tenure, established new formats and processes that reduced engineering design “release to fabrication” time improving delivery times of finished products. 

Engineering Manager

Identified personnel performance issues. Reduced staff from 33 to 22 while maintaining production levels. Improved manufacturing efficiency and marketing efforts, driving sales from $2.5M to $4.5M in two years.

Expanded business to reach new markets. Identified new opportunities and worked with engineering staff to develop product alternatives for automotive, boating, bus, truck, emergency, military and recreation vehicle markets.

Reinstated AS9100 certification. Replaced key staff and led overhaul of operating procedures, Quality System Manual and AS9100 documentation. Achieved re-certification within eight months, restoring confidence of OEM customers and FAA.

General Manager

A $50M motor home manufacturer. Directed product development, managing cross-functional teams to design and produce high-end motor homes. Recruited, trained, mentored and led all engineering staff. Managed $10M budget and 120 employees.

Implemented Lean practices to consolidate parts and reduce inventory. Standardized engineering design. Revamped training and documentation to double vehicle service efficiency. Cut expenses $1M per year.

Vice President Engineering

A start-up technology company. Oversaw operations and led growth of multiple departments. Defined engineering standards and operating budgets. Planned and launched cross-divisional growth initiatives. Built and led engineering team. Managed $5M budget and 30 staff.
