My dog is a certified therapy dog.  we volunteer at the read to the dog program at the local library.  we also visit assisted living facilities.

Trim & Packaging Manager, Apparel & Access.

•	 Involved in the complete development process from concept through production.
•	Manage new seasonal developments.  Ensure information received from design is accurate and complete.
•	Allocate & send out development packages with all necessary components & parameters for accurate development to meet the company calendar.
•	Maintain and oversee accurate tracking reports for development and production.
•	Order both sample and production trims for all categories- outerwear, blazers, tops, bottoms.
•	Manage & monitor trim compliance & testing.
•	Trim categories –buttons, zippers, buckles, belts, toggles, snaps, labels, hangtags, hangers, polybags, fusibles and any other trims needed by style.
•	Work with design for trim sample and production approvals. Make any changes for final production approval
•	Maintain daily communication with suppliers, factories & overseas offices through out the sample and production cycle – clear, complete & timely communication with vendor base during development
•	Main Vendors are located in China, Hong Kong, Italy, France and Germany
•	Handle all costing, quality, min issues & lead time issues with vendors.
•	Work with merchandising, production  & design for final cost approval on new trims. Provide alternate costing scenarios for final decision making
•	Act as point person to trouble shoot and problem solve any sample & production trim issues.
•	Maintain trim library.  Maintain updated information in AS400 and Web PDM
•	Participate in line status meetings


•	Lead the effective execution of all trims inclusive of hardware, zippers, buttons, soft trims & packaging
for woven & knit apparel and accessories - includes bags, backpacks, small accessories, socks, laces.
•	Lead strategy, planning and development for all trim inline, collaborations and special project needs.
•	Partner with designers, merchandisers & product developers in product creation for all Global regions.
•	Provide suppliers with trim tech packages, artwork, trim reference qualities & color stds.
•	Negotiate trim costing to meet targets for final garment costing. If necessary counter source to meet required cost.
•	Approve trim, color and packaging submits.
•	Involved in corporate approach in eco-friendly, sustainability, social & environmental compliance.
•	Work with IT dept to help develop raw material system in flex PLM. 
•	Build relationships & effectively partner across varied functions with internal stakeholders, external suppliers & colleagues.
•	Refine trim supplier matrix.
•	Coordinate supplier trim presentations, trends & trim innovation.
•	Manage & monitor global trim compliance & testing.
•	Set up & maintain accurate tracking reports for development. 
•	Created & maintain trim library of all approved trim & packaging as well as trim samples and catalogs for design’s reference.

•	Responsibilities include managing fashion bedding/ sheet products from conception to production including strategy, planning, product design, development, launch, costing, quality control, marketing and production for Wal-Mart, Target, Costco and Sam’s Club accounts.
•	Work to achieve annual sales budget & profit goal. Build P & L sheets to maintain GM & MU structure and accuracy. Issue 6 month & year end profile reports.
•	Initiate communication with vendor via email correspondence & vendor development packets.  Packets include detailed product description, price parameters to meet GM% & MU% goals, customer specs, testing & packaging requirements & Time & Action calendar.
•	Work with marketing to define the marketing strategy including packaging. Manage packaging process from initial concept through final sign off.
•	Analyze key customer programs to determine sales trends & ratios, color trends & ratios. Analyze overall success or failure of programs.

Associate Product Mgr

•	Responsible for sourcing, developing and managing products from conception through production phases for home textiles and pet products.
•	Cost negotiations, time and action negotiations/calendar, quality control.
•	Calculating all import freight costs for both air and sea shipments.
•	Placing orders and follow up through the entire production process.
•	Contacting forwarder to arrange all shipments depart on time.
•	Shipment consolidation when necessary, compile all documentation to clear goods upon arrival to the U.S.
•	Domestic and overseas travel.  Overseas travel to China and Hong Kong twice a year. Yearly trip to Frankfurt, Germany. Domestic travel included Dallas, Atlanta, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago.
•	Follow-up for large accounts, constant communication with overseas vendors, company design and sales staff.
•	Main accts included Bloomingdales, Macys, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Sur la table, TJX Corp and Steinmart
•	$5 million year in annual sales.
