• Involved in the complete development process from concept through production.
• Manage new seasonal developments. Ensure information received from design is accurate and complete.
• Allocate & send out development packages with all necessary components & parameters for accurate development to meet the company calendar.
• Maintain and oversee accurate tracking reports for development and production.
• Order both sample and production trims for all categories- outerwear, blazers, tops, bottoms.
• Manage & monitor trim compliance & testing.
• Trim categories –buttons, zippers, buckles, belts, toggles, snaps, labels, hangtags, hangers, polybags, fusibles and any other trims needed by style.
• Work with design for trim sample and production approvals. Make any changes for final production approval
• Maintain daily communication with suppliers, factories & overseas offices through out the sample and production cycle – clear, complete & timely communication with vendor base during development
• Main Vendors are located in China, Hong Kong, Italy, France and Germany
• Handle all costing, quality, min issues & lead time issues with vendors.
• Work with merchandising, production & design for final cost approval on new trims. Provide alternate costing scenarios for final decision making
• Act as point person to trouble shoot and problem solve any sample & production trim issues.
• Maintain trim library. Maintain updated information in AS400 and Web PDM
• Participate in line status meetings
