Administrative Assistant (Temp Position)

*  Compile, verify, type & maintain data related to         human tissue registry files and allograft 
                        tracking records.  Both physical & electronic files.
                    *  Contact hospitals and/or customers for data and/or follow-up information.
                    *  Maintain departmental hospital address file.
                    *  Answer phone, greet guests, visitors & vendors.
                    *  Distribute company mail & other duties, as assigned.

Human Tissue Registrar

* Schedule  all surgical procedures (elective & emergent) accurately & according to 
 established policies & procedures through various modes of communication. With
 physicians office staff, direct communication with physicians, receipt of faxed 
 communication.
 * Collaborate with the Charge Nurse at Control Desk to efficiently manage the flow 
 of surgical cases. (Includes but not limited to) Answering all high-volume incoming calls, 
 receiving information for emergent cases, continuous communication with all ancillary 
 support services/departments, as well as outside service providers that collaborate with 
 surgical services (laser, eswl, cell saver, perfusionist), accurate maintenance of visual 
 SmarTrack board & all other duties or tasks requested by the Charge Nurse.
 * Accurately generate all requested orders through Meditech, i.e., Radiology, Lab, CT, 
 Ultrasound, Blood Bank, Pathology, Nuclear Medicine, Central Supply (etc.).

*    Responsible for the operation of the hospital switchboard; providing routine information 
                           & directing calls to appropriate areas.
                     *    Assist patients who present to the PBX reception areas.
                     *    Make announcements using the hospital’s overhead paging system.
                     *    Accept cash, check & credit card payments for hospital-related items/services  
                          while maintaining cash & credit card receipt journals.
                     *    Enter notes in computer on above transactions with receipt, authorization numbers, 
                           payment type, change of address & any other pertinent information that applies.
                     *    Sort & disseminate mail to the appropriate departments/employees, prepare all out-
