Just like many people i love to travel.  i've traveled extensively through mexico and parts of central america and lived in costa rica for 6 months.  these trips were mostly centered around the idea of finding good uncrowded surf.  although neither spanish or portuguese are my native languages i really enjoy developing my abilities to communicate in them.  i've only just recently begun to learn some portuguese but there is big motivation to master it since most of my friends and roommates speak it.  also i have lots of family in brazil so i want to be able to communicate with them  whenever i visit.

Appliance Sales

My background is in sales - mostly on the retail side of the home appliance market.  My goal is to move into a more challenging business to business sales position.

•	Work and consult with a varying customer base ranging from simple replacement purchases to complete high-end kitchen packages.
•	Responsible for pricing and ordering of all merchandise.  
•	Coordinate and setup delivery or installation for appliance orders once items have been received and customer is ready.

•	Coordinate and execute outreach through e-mail to potential auctioneers who would benefit from exposure to a niche market.
•	Contract with and direct web developers to make significant modifications to original website theme files.
•	Monitor and analyze site traffic through google analytics.
•	Continuously implement SEO best practices to improve search rankings.

•	Develop relationships with South TX area restaurants and business owners by fulfilling equipment needs.   
•	Locate and purchase equipment items for resell and find buyers for used restaurant equipment.   
•	Assist with the installation of walk-in coolers and transportation of restaurant equipment.  
•	Act as a selling agent for large ticket restaurant equipment transactions.

Self Employed - buying/selling used restaurant equipment

•	Consult with customers and share product knowledge to determine which appliances would best suit their needs.  
•	Keep up to date with the company’s operational procedures and policies in order to help provide assistance to customers experiencing issues with deliveries, returns, etc.  
•	Maintain quota for sales in several different metrics to stay on track with the company’s profit model. 
•	Facilitate sales with customers only able to speak Spanish.

Real Estate Assistant	  [10/08 – 4/09]
•	Relay messages and information to other agents working within the Century 21 Tierras del Pacifico real estate office in Playa Negra, Costa Rica.
•	Provide pertinent real estate information to potential clients, including those who only speak Spanish.  Also, provide language assistance for agents with limited Spanish speaking abilities.
•	Contribute to the design of a marketing newsletter and make updates to the agency’s website.
