I am writing to express my interest in the Administrative Assistant position. The attached resume explains my qualification for this position in detail. I have five years of combined experience working as a guest services representative previously at the Howard Johnson Hotel & Conference Center and currently as Night Auditor at the DoubleTree by Hilton Los Angeles-Norwalk. My current role is a front line position (night manager) and center of communication for the entire hotel. I greet and assist up to 20+ guests daily, maintain accurate guests’ confidential information, address guest related issues, concerns, and questions, and I am responsible for overseeing the auditing, posting and balancing of daily financial transactions to support the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Furthermore, I am working as an Administrative Assistant for I&I Deburring where I evaluate and process purchase orders for shipping and receiving aerospace, automotive, and medical parts. I am also responsible for processing and reviewing employee documents and applications. I also provide a wide variety of administrative support to the president of the company and the operations manager including accounting, billing, and collections. Prior to the Howard Johnson Hotel & Conference Center, I was employed by the Royal Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada for nearly four years as the corporate office administrative assistant/receptionist where my role was to provide a wide variety of administrative support to the controller, accounting department, contracts department, and customer service/collections department. In addition, I was responsible for processing & reviewing all documents and applications for new hire and rehired employees, which included filing applications & processing fees with the Nevada Real Estate Division for those who required a Real Estate license. I have exceptional computer skills, and my typing speed is at approximately 60 WPM. More specifically, I am proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook. I have become known within my company as a reliable resource person for resolving computer related issues. Most importantly, I am well organized, detail oriented, an effective communicator, a great team player, a quick learner, a self-starter, and able to prioritize effectively to manage conflicting demands in a fast paced work environment. I work well under pressure and have strong analytical, research, and time management skills. I take pride and am committed to my work.
