Technical Designer/ Product Developer

To apply my experience and leadership in the technical design/ patternmaking field and use my knowledge of the entire development process in the fashion industry

-Create prototypes that meet and surpass product briefs presented by the marketing team
-Create and manage technical packages that include specifications, construction and materials
-Spec, check construction and comment on design and production samples received from factory
-Create, edit and digitize patterns using Optitiex PDS
-Maintain calendar deadlines throughout entire development process
-Visit and communicate with factories to ensure correctly constructed and quality products

-Collaborate with design department from concept sketch to actual fit garment
-Create technical drawings and specification packages for first thru production styles
-Create first thru production patterns using Gerber Technologies 
-Digitize paper patterns into Gerber Technologies
-Distribute and prioritize cut requests in cutting and sewing departments for even flow
-Conduct fittings to reach ideal fit and stay within design concept thru production 
-Fit approve, spec and send first patterns along with spec packages to factories
-Spec, check construction and comment on design samples, fit samples, P.P's and T.O.P's received from factories

First thru Production Pattern maker for Tart Collections

-Make patterns from merchandiser’s sketch and/ or inspiration garment using Gerber
-Create technical drawings and first patterns for the junior’s division 
-Create and release specification packages for garments going into production
-Revise first patterns for a better fit
-Measure production sample garments from manufacturers

Pattern Maker/ Tech Design

-Illustrate by hand and with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
-Create and assign proto and style numbers to new garments
-Technical drawing for face cards using Corel
-Edit and design line sheets of garments by group name
-Create and edit patterns through the Gerber system
-Cut and dye fabric yardage and trim

Design Intern

-Bought stock for the store at markets and tradeshows based on target market 
-Provided customer with flattering styles for their figure during appointments
-Took measurements and fit customers into appropriate sizes
-Took and placed orders with manufacturers
-Received, inspected, priced and entered stock into database
-Trained employees and aided in hiring process		
-Created store memos, policies and weekly schedule, took inventory 
-Created and changed store displays and layouts
