I am passionate about being part of a team in a law firm or corporate legal department with strong work ethics and the desire and commitment to help and be the voice on behalf of their clients who cannot represent themselves before the court of law.

Joined WEA, PC medical malpractice firm in April 2009.  My broad set of skills and ability to handle multiple tasks allows me to oversee and function in all aspects of the Firm. Interviewed all new clients over the phone; coordinated all phases of court hearing and trial preparations; prepared all necessary documents such as Property Settlement Agreements, Final Decrees, court pleadings, letters, memorandum, emails to clients and opposing counsel; worked directly with clients and opposing counsel when revising documents; coordinated mediation and settlement meetings with all parties; managed a diary system to keep track of deadlines and follow up with clients and/or opposing party; worked directly with court personnel with any court filings, hearings, trials; handled all incoming and outgoing mail.

Supported a senior partner and senior associate for a fast paced medical malpractice firm.  Heavy dictation; managed calendars of attorneys; travel and hotel arrangements for attorneys and witnesses; coordinated depositions and meetings with doctors, nurses and opposing parties; managed discovery and court deadlines of assigned cases; coordinated all aspects of trial preparation; prepared necessary pleadings, letters, memorandum, emails of cases; coordinated mediation and settlement; organized Department of Health Professions inquiries and prepared required documents; served as liaison with all experts and witnesses; organized and prepared all required case quarterly reports and case status meetings.

Legal Secretary

Performed a variety of secretarial duties with minimal supervision and with a heavy involvement in the work product; exercised judgment over work priorities; screened and recorded telephone calls, responded to telephone requests, and referred calls to the appropriate professional staff; prepared letters, memoranda, time records, and other legal documents, transcribing dictaphone tapes, proofreading, and redlining; processed expense records and billing data.

Drafted and finalized all classified and unclassified correspondence and Memoranda to be transmitted to the United States. Handled all incoming calls and visitors for the Administration Department. Designed and maintained filing system of correspondence and records for reference by high officials of the Embassy. Worked independently for four months during the Administrative Officer's absence. Temporarily covered for the Personnel Officer for three months working closely with local employees. Served as a substitute for the Ambassador's Secretary and for the Deputy Chief of Mission's Secretary during their absences. Performed Travel Assistant and GSA Secretary's duties for three months.
