Developed a novel high volume, low cost manufacturing approach for light-weight, flexible solar on polymer substrates with Oak Ridge National Laboratory and National Renewable Energy Laboratory

Research Engineer

Developed, improved and reduced sources of variability for ISO9000 qualified processes. Designed and modified equipment to meet production goals, yield, and quality specifications.

Managed contract negotiations, resources, staffing, program costs and deliverables schedules for government and commercial customers, with contract awards in excess of $2.5M/yr.

Led technical team at Emcore. Collaborated and coordinated with scientists at Creare, Emcore LAX (TechStar), Emcore Fiber Optics, Emcore Corona, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Bechtel Bettis, Rugate Technologies, Naval Research Laboratories and NASA-glenn that included design specifications, fabrication, power testing and radiation hard testing.

Developed and improved processes to increase performance, yield, manufacturability & reliability of optoelectronic devices. Identified and corrected sources of process variability.

Developed and maintained work instructions, paper and electronic run cards, process control charts, quality documents and training documents, and maintenance procedures.
