Product Sales and Services Intern

I have continuously pursued opportunities and passions that help develop and maximize my business experience across all sorts of disciplines, including sales, marketing, customer experiences, strategic planning, research, accounting, personal development, rapid prototyping, leading people and growing companies. 

I am a Colorado College '14 graduate with an independently designed major in Leadership Studies. The purpose of this major is to understand how concepts like emotional intelligence, morals, values and ambitions affect a leader's effectiveness.

My objective over the next few years is to learn as much as possible about how business works in a larger context, so that when I go to Graduate school, I will have a clearer idea of how I want to focus my entrepreneurial spirit.

At Vail Resorts, I am currently ranked one of the highest part-time instructors due to my ability to teach in Spanish, AASI level 1 certification and overall accumulated days working on the mountain.

Snowboard Instructor

I am working on the day to day supply management and operational support for Front Range Pass Sales. Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
-- Acting as manager on duty, requiring expert knowledge of: all product details, technical aspects of point of sale system, and best practices for guest service
-- Calculating all department labor expenses and organizing expenses in accordance with budget
-- Creating easy-to-digest, aesthetically pleasing guide of all season pass products for guests to peruse 
-- Coordinating training details with 30+ employees and enhancing training tools distributed to 80+ employees
-- Entering time punches into PeopleSoft on a daily basis and auditing store sales

Our mission is to cultivate a community of innovative entrepreneurs in the Colorado Springs Region.  We promote the exchange of information and resources that fuel the entrepreneurial spirit through networking, mentoring, and quality educational programs.

Board Member

The Big Idea is part of an initiative to build an entire eco-system of mentors, advisors, investors and resources which support the strategic, long-term commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship at Colorado College. Throughout the year, the program organizes startup workshops with local entrepreneurs, hosts an Innovative Minds speaker series with big name startup innovators, manages a two-week startup boot camp to develop student ideas, and finally, launches a startup pitch competition with $50,000 of prize seed money for student business ideas.

At Colorado College, FYE Mentors are responsible for leading 20 students into the college system both academically and socially. They provide academic advice and make initial student-professor introductions.

MotionPoint is a technology company with a mission to drive business results using website translation and data-driven insights. It is an entrepreneurial company now with over 700 global clients including Best Buy, PUMA, Delta Air Lines, Abercrombie & Fitch and more. www.motionpoint.com

This experience involved extensive training and application of: sales calls, cold calls and emails using trigger events, strategic consulting with clients, understanding business needs and online performance, and account management.

Sales Associate

Our startup's objective was to identify and develop personal brands of young adults. BrightSpark workshops engaged each individual's talents and passions towards their academic and career path. For example, one workshop identified how each student's personal brand should be conveyed through an online presence. 

Co-Founder and CEO

BookCheetah is an online program that facilitates student-to-student book exchange. With Professor Dan Johnson, I enhanced the growth and marketing strategy by targeting popular college clubs to advertise this new book trading system. www.bookcheetah.com

Marketing Intern

At Spyglass Creative, I launched an internal social media marketing initiative, managed client accounts and learned about office management. I also organized client projects, updated social media outlets and identified new business clients for our advertising agency.

Summer Associate

At SunShare, I helped build and organize a nationally recognized community solar garden for 300 customers under a specific contract to our local utility. I scheduled sales calls, managed sales presentations, represented the company among the City Council and state government officials, hired and managed interns and started a human resource department. 

Today, SunShare has established 2 community solar gardens each with 2,500 solar panels. These solar panels provide electricity to over 300 homes and several schools.

Assistant to CEO

As a cashier and barista at Caribou Coffee, I learned the art of customer satisfaction and operating a fast paced business. I earned an A+ from a mystery customer hired to analyze a customer’s satisfaction.
