DESIGNER

46 years surfing, stoked as the day I started. Solid background in product design & development. My biggest fear as an entrepreneur . . .  is having my creativity bogged down by  productivity in the second half of my life.  For this reason, I've created (4) individual product lines launching each simultaneously as S U M N E R bros. brand, "the people's brand." 

[Surfboards] A new 4 in1 system created for any competency. It starts with an out of the box shortboard, with (2) evolutionary attaching sections. These two sections can turn your short board into a fun board, a big wave board, or add both sections simultaneously to make a long board. We do the same for kite, wake, and our SUP's with a twist.

[S U P' s] The evo_lution. S U M N E R bros. interchanging pod kits, inserts for specific activities include live wells, cold storage, water proof stow area, surfboard stowing, snorkeling, diving, fishing kits, camping (land or water base available), spearfishing, scuba kits, etc.     

[Bikes] The 4 in 1 bike creates a road, mountain, beach, or city bike, at anytime or anywhere when desired. 

[Travel] Our nomadic tow behind modular rv's are compact and collapsible. Each size is setup easily and efficiently providing accommodations on the water or on land. Self sufficient anywhere with sizes for anyone's travel budget. The larger systems can provide an amazing 6,000 sf of indoor or outdoor living.

The smallest budget, starting as an 8' w x 8' l x 8' h system has the capability of providing 576 sf. of indoor or outdoor living space creating a spacious wrapping deck system for outdoor living space, and the roof provides a second floor for decking, or can be configured to create second level living space accommodations.

Founded a line of surf shops, opening the 1st one 4 hours drive from the coast. Started with a 300 square foot store and opened 8 stores. Flagship store starting with a $6,000.00 loan back in 1978 to produce annual sales of  $2 million selling apparel, accessories and surf equipment, quickly becoming the a go-to place for kids and parents alike, not to mention buyers from area department stores wondering where all the kids were. Created a positive culture of inclusion where everyone was equal and welcomed . . .
