Associate Merchandise Planner 2-20 Boys Surf and Levi's

I currently work for Macy's as a merchandise planner.  I am use to working in a fast paced environment and on a daily basis and coordinate between my vendors, buyer, and four separate teams. I am responsible for forecasting and planning at a locational level for all Macy’s stores across the country, and trouble-shooting when problems arise. I am the direct liaison between my vendors and Macy’s Corporation.  I can budget planning/management, manage vendors, and execute event preparation and reports with ease. Currently, I negotiate and manage vendor contracts and oversee and ensure delivery of the seasonal merchandising process on a national level.

Develops assortment plans and strategies to maximize sales by location
Conducts location analysis by region, climate, and volume group to identify sales opportunites
React with appropriate action to drive sales and margin
Adjust location assortments breath and depth based on location results and field team input
Manage location data for rollouts/pullbacks to meet sales, margin, and turnover goals
Provide and forecast projections and reorders by vendor
Manage the market preparation and presentations
Collaborate with buying counterpart to develop buying strategies by location
Collaborate with inventory planner regarding on-order, trends, and execution of allocations
Coach and mentor assistants and EDPs

Completed retail computer training throughout program and worked directly with vendors in market settings to determine new clothing line shipments. I creat and process shipments, price changes, and various promotions while also run and analyze daily and weekly performance reports.
