I hold a Master of Science in Kinesiology - Biophysical Emphasis from Boise State University.  I am looking for full time employment in a field in which I can utilize my skills as a passionate and talented Strength and Conditioning Coach, while positively impacting athlete safety and expanding my knowledge of human physiology and its response to training, with and without the use of specialized equipment.  I began coaching after ending my 13 year career as a competitive gymnast, and quickly discovered that I had a deep seeded passion for coaching and having a positive impact on athletes of all ages.  I chose the field of Strength and Conditioning in order to help athletes avoid the countless hours of injury rehabilitation and missed practices that I have endured in the past, provide performance enhancement guidance to athletes, and to have the opportunity to work with athletes from many different competitive backgrounds.  I have spent a year and a half working as a Graduate Assistant in the strength and conditioning department at Boise State University, under the direction of head Strength and Conditioning coach Tim Socha, as well as one year as an intern in the Sports Performance Department at Oregon State University, under the direction of head Sports Performance Coach Bryan Miller, both NCAA Division 1A programs.  I have also spent one year working at Parisi Speed School, where I taught running mechanics, speed, agility, and injury prevention to youth athletes.  I enjoy working independently as well as in a team environment.

Master Trainer

Train clients in exercisie and nutrition to lose weight, gain muscle and live a healthier lifestyle.  

Instruct bootcamp-style circuit classes and spinning group exercise classes.

Write informative articles providing information regarding health, fitness, nutrition and sports to the public.

Freelance Writer

Assist in coaching athletes of all kinds in Olympic lifts, speed and conditioning.

Assist with keeping weightroom clean and safe.

Sports Performance Intern

•	Marketing  (Sales) of Strength program based on Commission Sales and service of clients
•	Instruct speed, strength, and agility classes for athletes ranging in age from 6 years to 23 years
•	Educate young athletes, parents, and coaches on proper running technique and injury prevention
•	Planning and executing educational and team training events for youth sports athletes, parents, and coaches
•	Participate in offsite practices with team clients to provide speed, strength, and agility coaching in a team setting
•	Work with select high level athletes in a variety of team and individual sports 
•	Responsible for generating revenue (Sales and marketing) and new clients monthly, including hitting high sales marks for the month
•	Subject interviewing skills for eliciting feedback about product use
•	Experience with field testing the sensory perception of consumer and clinical products

Speed Coach/Team Camp Coach

•	Spent one week working with the National Disabled Nordic Ski Team/Coaches to complete the annual summer training and development camp at the United States Ski & Snowboard Association National Training Facility. 
•	Observed and participated in drills and training programs for both strength and endurance.
•	Designed and implemented a strength workout for the team over the course of the week.
•	Learned invaluable information pertaining to adaptive training, which I have since used when training injured athletes
•	Learned invaluable information pertaining to Nordic Skiing techniques.

Volunteer Coach

•	First female Graduate Assistant given the opportunity to work with Head Strength Coach Tim Socha to design and implement strength and conditioning programs.
•	Designed and implemented strength and conditioning program for swim/dive team for the 2008-2009 season, during which the team moved up five places in the Western Athletic Conference during their third year in existence.  The first individual WAC champion, Stephanie North, was also a member of that team, as well as the first 1-2 conference finish (Stephanie North and Amber Boucher) in program history.
•	Designed and implemented strength and conditioning program for middle distance track sprinters, several of whom qualified for WAC championships.
•	Teamed with head strength and conditioning coach Tim Socha to design and implement the strength and conditioning programs for the track and field short distance sprinters and jumpers, who were Men’s 2009 Indoor WAC Track and Field Champions and Women’s 2009 Indoor WAC Track and Field 3
