I am a "visual artist".  a painter at heart

My experience with MS Office Suite (strong Excel skills), Power Point, and various other software and excellent database skills are strong. I take pride in my shipping experience, good communication, strong multi-line phone and outstanding work habits.  I have speed and accuracy, utilizing data from multiple sources.  Inventory - supply, payroll, cash control, billing, invoicing (A/R & A/P), travel, office documents, customer service, working with vendors and employees, and computer graphics are among my list of skills.

I have a positive, can do attitude along with a professional appearance and demeanor.  I also have great customer service skills.  I am able to multi-task effectively and, work with minimal supervision.  I have sound judgment, and excellent decision making skills.  Organization and excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital to running a business.

As an "Assistant in advertising, I was placed at DexMedia, fformerly known as "YellowPages, or SuperPages".   "I “proofed” internet ads for thousands of companies, from throughout the United States.  This was a very heavy data entry position, and I enjoyed the people I worked with.  But, this was a temporary position.

I am doing volunteer work, for this non-profit organization. Sorting new inventory, handling cashier duties and arranging stock.

Volunteer Work

Administrative Assistant (part time).  Duties included member services, accounts receivable, collections, posting of accounts payable.  I worked for this company from December 4, 2014 until temp position ended March 7, 2014.

Temporary Administrative Assistant

Again, I was hired as a seasonal cashier and worked 4-5 days per week.  This is yet another "stepping stone" until I find better employment.  I was told that my "temporary assignment" had ended, and that I was eligible for "re-hire" in 30 days,

I was hired as a seasonal cashier and worked 4-5 days per week.   This is a "stepping stone" until I find better employment.  But, it is a fun job, because of all the different people I got to meet.  I was laid off right after the Christmas season had ended.

I worked as a “greeter” at the front entrance.  Greeting, thanking and helping customers find what they are looking for, in our store.Because of my diverse experience, I was able to fill in at other positions, including the Photo, Home, Apparel and Grocery Departments.  I was laid off from my “part-time” position, as of 12/28/2011.  Sears & Kmart are having massive store closures, and they’re cutting spending across the board.

Greeter

Promoted Arts & Crafts Fairs and Festivals, in which I locate artisans and entertainers performed and showed their creative talents.   I handled all administrative tasks.  This is project is not currently active.

* Planned and organized Arts & Crafts fairs in various cities  
* Coordinated with city officials to obtain approval for each event. Et al. location, food, craft
   vendors, entertainment, parking, and advertising  
* Created & administered advertising and marketing plan for each event  
* Responsible for selection of arts and crafts talent, food vendors & entertainment

* Maintained arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, and entertainer database (Access) 
* Created newspaper advertisements and created and distributed flyers thought out the community  
* Handled banking and finances, accounts payable and receivable.

Co-Owner, Vendor Coordinator

Part-Time, position. Creating letters, pamphlets, posters, flyers, booklets, and internet graphics/web design, which promoted our company to new businesses.  I assisted the Office manager with all office duties, including phones and reception, e-mail, filing and correspondence.  Laid off

Executive Assistant

Working at fundraising events in support of this PBS station.  Organizing a variety of fundraising events, from “dinner theaters to arts and crafts shows”.  The results of these fundraising events increased their funds tenfold.
