I am a fourth year Psychology major at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I have a concentration in Marketing and would like to pursue a career in Marketing/Sales. I have been a member of Alpha Phi for all four years and have held positions such as being in the Sisterhood Committee and being the Director of Sisterhood. I have participated in countless hours of community service and leadership activities within these roles. I have a number of different job experiences listed below that have given me confidence in marketing and sales. I also have a high GPA and have been on the Dean's List every quarter while attending Cal Poly. I will be graduating in June 2015 and looking to enter the workforce.

As part of the student retention program at Costco, I work as a Cashier while I’m home during breaks from school. In my current position, I utilize my excellent customer service and cash handling skills to assist shoppers in Costco’s fast-paced environment.
-Promoted from Cashier’s Assistant to Cashier within 3 months
-Added to Top Scanners List for exceptional and efficient scanning 
-Accurately and efficiently manage cash, check and credit card purchases 
-Assist in the Membership Department with in-store marketing initiatives

I am currently the marketing/social media intern for Central Coast Grown. I manage the Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and any other social media accounts. I am also working on a crowdsourcing campaign to raise money for this non-profit organization. I am frequently using Photoshop and InDesign in order to design brochures and other forms of advertisement.

This entails participating in a number of philanthropy events for my sorority and other Greek or on-campus organizations, participating in community service events throughout the community, raising money and awareness for women's hearth health, and being part of a group that works towards a common goal and manages school along with extra-curricular activities.

Member of the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology. Admitted upon applying and meeting the qualifications. Must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.

I have recently been hired as an observer for the Academic Skills Center at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, observing and reviewing study sessions to ensure their functionality. I am able to use my skills and knowledge in group dynamics and leadership to assess these study sessions. I am given a number of qualities to look for in a leader and then am required to asses how well the leader is doing their job. I then meet once a week with the staff and other observers to gauge where everyone is at.

I was a Spring Marketing Intern for Cal Poly credit. I worked closely with the promotions/marketing committee to plan and advertise upcoming events. There were a number of different events that took place throughout the quarter in which needed to be planned and promoted. I was able to gain experience with programs like InDesign and Photoshop. I also got a lot of experience working with business owners and attracting members of the San Luis Obispo community.
