My objective is to use my eclectic mix of know-how to add value to the experience of the customers I serve. I have lived my life in the action sports industry. At the age of 11, my parents introduced me to motocross. Being behind the curve of most of my peers, I quickly became a formidable opponent on the track to both men and women and eventually worked my way to pro status. Retiring due to multiple injuries, I still had the need for speed and action. I decided to try my talents and wakeboarding, and picked up skateboarding and later snowboarding. After a major car accident, I was advised to reduce the impact on my body and thus I branched out to surfing. That's where I found my true Zhen. Nothing gives me peace like a good surf session, although I still enjoy the other board sports. Being a hairstylist, I was able to blend my love for action sports with fashion. Also being the competitive natured person that I am, it provided a new industry that allowed many areas of growth and determination to perfect my skill and be one of the leading professionals in my area. Before my career as a hairstylist, I worked in retail at several board shops in Houston. I assisted customers with selection assistance in all things wake, skate, surf, snow. I assembled complete skateboard decks for customers as well as inventory and internet sales, I even worked as a motorcycle service technician for one of my former sponsors.
