National Sales Manager

Sales Manager with over 10 years industry experience & 5 years management experience, training and supervising sales staff while planning and implementing sales strategies over a multi-state territory. Seeking to bring my proven record in team leading and in launching successful marketing campaigns into a senior management position. 

National Sales Manager overseeing all aspects of sales both OEM and partnerships as well as manage a team of 5 independent sales agencies consisting of over 25 sales reps nation wide working in the Cycle Sport and Shooting Sports channels. Also manage all Government/Military & Law Enforcement sales. Assist in product development, product road map and go to market strategies.

Regularly perform routine sales calls to check stock, product line reviews, train sales staff/end users and merchandise displays.

•	Took the business with Leatherman in NE from $5.0 million to $7.0 million in just over a year.
•	Developed comprehensive product knowledge seminars. 
•	Designed and implemented a customer satisfaction standard to increased customer loyalty and retention.

North East Territory Representative TSR

Managed 5 independent sales rep agencies with a total of 25 individual sales representatives. Responsibilities entailed managing sales reps and setting goals and targets for the territories. Combined territories had over $8 million in revenue I was accountable for. Managed large big box accounts, high volume ecommerce dealers, buy group accounts, Corporate market, GSA and brick & mortar. Increased sales year over year and organically grew the dealer base within the territory. Trained sales rep’s in the use and adaptation of Sales Force and CRM software.

Regional Sales Manager, Hawke Sport Optics, Mid Atlantic & North East Territories: 2015 – 2016
Regional Sales Manager covering the territory from West Virginia to Maine. Manage all sales, product placement and marketing aspects of the dealer network in the territory. In one year I have cultivated and doubled the existing dealer network bringing on over 75 new dealers and anticipate a 25% - 50% growth in gross sales for the up coming year. I achieved this by researching and networking amongst the various dealer channels and selected whom to open, and which dealers will handle the full line and which will handle specific categories within the line. Our categories consist of Rifle Scopes for Shooting Sports, Crossbow Scopes for the Archery market; Binoculars for Outdoor/Archery/Hunting and Nature. The spotting scopes would be categorized in a like manner. The channels I am familiar with working in are Hunt/Fish, Outdoor, Cycle, Hardware, and several Action Sports.
Currently working with Buy Group, Key Account, Big Box and Independent retailers in multiple channels. I am managing the product rollout throughout the Mid Atlantic and New England territory for the “Re-Branding” and product re-launch of Hawke Optics. I conduct regular visits to all accounts, working with Key Accounts to create Special Make Up products (SMU’s). Regularly handle all Dealer Clinics, Customer Appreciation events and Trade shows. Also regularly partake in product field-testing and receive recommendations from the dealer network to give back to Hawke product engineers to aid in furthering product development as well. 
I created and followed all budgets for the territory. This consisted of monies for Travel, Trade Shows, Product Allowances and Personal Sales Expenses.

While with Ken Jefferies I maintained an existing dealer network and cultivated new accounts on a regular basis as well as managing a number of 2 step distributors and working with national key accounts. I handled all placement of purchase orders for dealers, launching and placement of new product lines and staff training and consumer events for lines represented. Represented both Hard & Soft Goods in the Outdoor and Sporting Channel. Some of the key brands were - Leatherman Tools & LED Lenser Lights, Vertx Apparel, Wiley X Sunglasses, Meopta Optics, Arctic Ice, ORCA Coolers and Elite Archery.

At Tent & Trails I was involved with the buying and selling of almost every major hard and soft good brand in the outdoor market today. I would work on Purchase orders and Pre Season orders with reps and other staff to achieve the best balance of products for the immediate and upcoming seasons. I also worked closely with customers to evaluate options for their upcoming adventure and help make selections on the appropriate gear. I would also specialize in outfitting major expeditions to all 7 Summits and all 14, 8000M Peaks. I personally have outfitted over 70 clients to Aconcagua and Kilimanjaro alone. I have also outfitted a number of Everest clients and expeditions. I was the personal outfitter for Ann Curry of the Today Shows trip to Kilimanjaro. Regarding the marketing aspect I would coordinate all events and trade shows the store exhibited at as well as cultivate and creating business relationships existing till this day with The Boy Scouts of America, NY/NJ Trail Conference, Chelsea Piers, Alpine Ascents, Mountain Madness, Meet Up NY and Brooklyn Boulders.
