• I have worked in the Action Sports industry since 1991 from the bottom to the top including; warehouse, shipping, sales, phone sales, on the retail floor, store management, and ownership.
• I have an entrepunial spirit. I owned my own retail skateboard store for 8 years where I marketed the store within the community, facilitated contests and events, hosted professional demos, managed employees, held local fundraisers, and produced videos. I learned customer service is a key element in sales.
• I have put the time in to re-build brands and this has taught me how to overcome objections such as why should the account carry a brand and what it will offer and benefit the account.
• I get to know the product/brand I am selling well and sell the story and technology behind it as well.
• I know the product, market, and region intimately, travel it, and communicate with those within it. I like to build long term relationships and sales rather than resorting to a quick buck at the expense of future potential. I currently cover GA, AL, TN, NC, SC, VA, KY, WV.
• I have proven experience in growing sales for brands. This has been recognized by being Globe and Dwindle’s Rookie of the Year for 2007. Globe’s Rep of the year for 2008 (grew sales by 36%). The Berrics Unified program top sales leader, which pulled more than 20 retailers to the Agenda Trade show. I have grown Brixton’s account base and sales (700+% season after season since starting in Dec 2011).

• I can offer my expertise in sales, events, and brand awareness. This has been achieved through facilitating sales, follow up, sell through analysis, potential new accounts and markets, sponsorship of the right events and riders and attending events that are connected to our industry. I am well connected to the industry through knowledge of local cultures and scenes, brand and team managers, amateur and professional riders.
• I have always been outside the box on sports activities. I raced BMX in the early ‘80’s. I have skateboarded since 1984 (and still skate almost every day), won the Vans Warp tour vert title for NC in 2001 and continued to the finals, surfed since 1989, and snowboarded since 1991. I am still very active in the skate/surf community and enjoy road biking to stay in shape. Coming from these underground action sports, it has given me the drive and determination to go for what I want in life and strive for the best outcome.
• I understand the benefits of forecasting future business as a goal for myself and the brand. I have the motivation and drive to get that business through my sales skills, as well as teaming up with the in house sales department to chase and achieve those numbers.
• I understand and know how to facilitate growth within the existing account base. I also see the approach of finding the right accounts to have the right mix of product on the floor and building success stories with them and using those success stories to grow with the right accounts.
