Brands today are more important than ever. With globalization, goods can now be manufactured at lower prices more than at any point in history.  This can have a brand changing effect if not managed well. Top of the specialty market one day, commodity the next. However, how a brand leverages their brands equity verse the pull of the market is critical.  It takes the right person, with a diverse background and keen insight to drawl this out of the brand they are leading. This is what I love to do. 

As a veteran of the Outdoor Industry I’ve seen it from all angles. I am comfortable on both sides of the buying/selling table as well as attune to working for/with business large and small.  

My professional experiences haven't just been sheltered in the Outdoor Industry alone. In several positions I’ve bridged numerous distribution channels ranging from Outdoor, Workwear, Farm and Ranch and Hunting/Fishing.  It’s the appreciation of the similarities and not getting caught up on the differences that gets you to see where the potential is and the greatest chances for success.

Responsible for managing 300+ accounts in the refrigerated and frozen food industry in the Pacific Northwest States of WA, OR and ID. Increased to include the four Western Provinces of Canada in 2016 and then Alaska in 2017.  Twice pioneered new territories for the company.  Grew territory sales by 50% in 3 years. Awarded twice in three years for sales growth contests. Increased active account base by over 50% in 3 years. 


Northwest Regional Sales Director

Responsible for growing existing and developing new business in the Western United States. Supported and managed the western US independent sales agencies.

Western Regional Sales Manager

Responsible for coordinating the categories of Workwear, Outdoor Apparel, Men’s and Young Men’s Sportswear and Activewear.  The primary roll of the position is to negotiate pricing and programs with vendors on behalf our retail members. Other duties include: Lead of several key ad projects; Budgeting; Trade show planning; Public speaking; Working with a committee; Contributing to weekly newsletters and other publications; Product development; Meeting planning; Travel to vendors, retail members and trade shows . This is a multi task position that requires a high degree of organization, self motivation and prioritizing skills.

Buying Coordinator

Responsible for managing independent rep force; Promote sales and brand awareness in the Footwear, Outdoor, Fishing and Medical communities; Organize exhibiting at trade shows; Co-manage Assistant Manager; Responsible for increasing communication between company, retailers and representatives: Aided in product development, marketing and public relations.

Sales Manager

Responsible for the territories sales of multiple product lines from the Outdoor Industry including: Thule, Kelty, Timbuk 2, Lowa Footwear, Terramar; Planned and preformed product clinics and training; Worked independently from a home office; Traveled extensively visiting retailers and attending trade shows; Promoted close relationships to foster increased sales for both the retailer and manufactures.

Independent Sales Rep

Responsibilities include aiding Director in producing five trade shows a year in the Specialty Outdoor Market; Service membership of Outdoor Industry Reps; Act as referral service for membership for Outdoor Manufacturers and Retailers to find member reps; Produced quarterly membership newsletters and bi-annual membership directory;  Developed and maintained association web site.

Assistant to the Executive Director

Responsibilities include buying, reordering, planning and budgeting. Aided in marketing and advertising; Attend trade shows and formed relationships with reps and vendors; Supervising floor staff; Employee scheduling.
