Personal Lines Underwriting

Prior to relocating to California from my hometown of Aberdeen, Scotland, have been actively involved with the skateboard community, working in Scotland's biggest independent retail outlet for a number of years. 

Looking to re-establish a career in an industry I have long had a passion for, hopefully in a sales or editorial capacity within a skateboard / lifestyle orientated company.

Works within the personal lines underwriting department for home insurance. Reviews customer loss history to ensure acceptable risk to company. Adhere to strict government regulated industry rules to ensure company compliance. Assist sales agents and customers over the phone with policy questions. Maintain production and quality guidelines on a monthly audited basis. Train and mentor new hires. Have received multiple customer accolades for service, as well as internal promotion to current position from previous customer service role.

Floor supervisor with Vans retail. Duties included assisting customers in store with sizing, product selection based off of needs at the time, customer orders, hiring and training new employees, running the floor in the absence of the store manager, consolidating sales reports daily, key holder.

Due to the part time nature of the position, it was no longer a viable option and I made the professional switch to a full time position with Arrowhead Insurance.
