Director, Ecommerce

Many years of commercial ecommerce experience, and extensive analytics and project management.

This position oversees the sales and operations of e-Commerce business segment for Walmart.com.  Current focus is to expand on core business of video games to multiple product lines such as Toys, Electronics, Sporting Goods, Mobile phone accessories and beyond.

Responsible for overseeing implementation, and then the day to day operations, of a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program, the first time this has been attempted in the video game industry.  Other duties include the investigation and selection of new clients beyond our initial agreement with Toys R Us.
-Involved in initial selection of VMI software (software solutions range from $200k to over $5M)
-Fully oversaw implementation of VMI software, and setup of all appropriate business rules to properly manage our business, including being involved with the EDI communication setup, etc.
-2 direct reports handling day to day for VMI program, anticipate to expand to 4 before year end

Manager, Strategic Business Development

Reporting directly to the President, this position interacted directly with the internal sales team, and buyers at several key accounts.  Key responsibilities were creation and management of P&L statements for all clients participating in VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) programs, as well as continually updating senior management on status of client programs.  Was also the main spokesperson for promoting the client services program to new accounts and maintaining current client base.

Manage marketing and PR strategy for two of the company?s three labels with primary responsibility for Global Star Software and oversight duties for Gathering. Provide leadership to team of six and the external PR agency. Develop and implement marketing plans for $40 ? 60 million division. 
-Currently overseeing more than 25 AA, A, and B titles that are scheduled to ship on multiple formats within the next 12 months.
-Successfully managed the merger of Gotham Games into Take-Two by providing goals, structure, reassurance and focus to team members. Maintained 0% employee turnover during this timeframe.
-Salvaged troubled PC budget series which had been neglected during the transition, releasing 12 titles before the Christmas deadline.
-Broadened PR focus from pure gaming magazines to general media including Access Hollywood, Sports Illustrated, Rolling Stone and Maxim, while retaining credibility with gaming magazines and Web sites.

Marketing Manager

Recruited by the President of Gotham Games to co-found this start-up division. Worked closely with him to establish the new label, assuming responsibility for day-to-day management of marketing, PR, sales, operations and business affairs. Controlled marketing budget of $6 million. 
-Developed business plan, obtained executive approval, established budget, hired team of 20 and provided hands-on leadership for this successful label which went from $0 to revenue of $65 million in its first year.
-Created and maintaind strong relationships with high-profile licensors such as MTV, Disney, MGM, NewLine Cinema, Ford, and Nickelodeon. 
-Released and marketed 23 titles, including Conflict: Desert Storm (1 and 2)which sold over a million units and has generated revenues of $40 million to date. The first game went Greatest Hits on PlayStation 2, and Platinum on Xbox. 
-Led innovative PR campaign for Conflict: Desert Storm, which was picked up by 1500 stations, including CBS, ABC, NBC and CNN.

General Manager

Manager, Exclusive Software (2000 ? 2002)
Promoted through the organization to source exclusive video game content for the company. Accountable for  sales and marketing analysis, contract negotiation/review and inventory management. 
-Developed exclusive partnerships with video game developers and negotiated title-by-title re-publishing exclusives with major publishers such as Lucas Arts, 3DO, Eidos and Infogrames.
-Ensured contracts contained fair and adequate terms relating to sales guarantees, territories, confidentiality, nondisclosure agreements, payment schedules, and shipping.
-Worked with sales management to develop and implement marketing plans for national customers and reviewed all sales plans.
-Conducted in-depth and frequent market and competitive analysis to understand and anticipate trends.

National Account Manager, West Coast (1997 ? 2000)
Promoted from purchasing manager to this sales position with accountability for major accounts in Canada and US west coast.

Manager, Exclusive Software

Located in Santiago, Chile.
Selected by the company?s owner as one of only two people to open a new distribution business in South America. Established the infrastructure and ensured the right product mix. Managed sales and telesales departments, and developed sales and marketing strategies.
-Managed the first two years business so effectively that the parent company created a new holding company with a South American business group and opened offices in Argentina and Brazil. 
-Secured multiple suppliers for exclusive distribution for Chile such as Electronic Arts, Sierra, Activision, Global Link, GT Interactive, Mecosoft (Quicken), Softkey, and Virgin.
-Negotiated exclusive distribution agreements and co-op marketing funds with suppliers such as Electronic Arts Spain and Activision. 
-Designed and implemented a warehouse inventory and shipping methodology
-Became fluent in spoken and written Spanish without having any prior ability or education in Spanish before moving to Chile.

Operations and Retail Product Manager

Accountable for purchasing and inventory management for this leading software distributor. Worked with vendors and freight companies to maximize inventory turns. Negotiated with vendors and distributors to maintain competitive pricing and obtain co-op marketing funds within a very aggressive marketplace.
