I am a communications expert with 15 years of journalism, public relations and social media marketing experience. My passion for journalism and creating meaningful content began at the age of 15 and has grown with every new career challenge I accept. I enjoy creating conversations and managing it with and for clients to meet their social media goals. My diverse career path demonstrates my ability to easily adapt to and thrive in different industries. My work with the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) communicates my strong interest and experience in the fashion and beauty industries. I am currently the social media writer for the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) where I work with the Director of Marketing and the Social Media Manager to monitor FIDM brands within online communities and the blogosphere such as Facebook; respond to posts and inquiries that are consistent with the FIDM brand voice, assist prospective students, as well as develop and maintain positive reputation management for the college. I also develop and maintain relationships with prominent bloggers in the fashion industry with the end result of creating new public relations opportunities for the school. Along with proactively creating social media campaigns, I also conduct research, campaign and content creation, execution, monitoring and weekly reporting for all campaigns associated with FIDM and FIDM brands. I possess strong analytic, organizational and communication skills. I thrive in a work environment where I can work within a matrixed team both internally and externally. I also enjoy staying up-to-date on the latest social media marketing trends and tools.
